Managed to get some Ease Up IPA, Mosaic, New England IPA from their shop in Hadleigh (Suffolk) today.
Really like Ease Up. I think they do 4 bottles for £6 in Tesco (or they used to at least)

My local serves a lovely pint of Estrella so i am happy drinking that twice a week.

Bit of a big weekend coming up, so I treated myself to a bottle of Jose Silver Tequilla and a bottle of Barolo Grappa. I'll have that sat and sun.

I also bought 8 cans of Punk IPA by Brewdog for £8 quid - a bargain I feel. I know, I know Brewdog, I loathe them too but as a man who hates hoppy beer, for some reason this Hoppy/Lager hybrid gets me.

In the interim, this hot weather has me on the wine, so I've done some really unusual wines whose name I can't remember, but they were lovely. Blame Lidel - on average £5 a pop.

I have a personal liking of German wines, so i have been giving the Mosel, Reisling and Hock a bash and I even give a Liebfraumilch a go - which was really nice.

Scotch offers at Waitrose, I can vouch for both. Came as recommendations from my scotch trader mate:

https://www.waitrose.com/ecom/products/ ... 979-755980 (Get it while it's £25 a pop)

https://www.waitrosecellar.com/spirit-t ... key-785085 (Ridiculously good value at £29)

Thanks Dan, been looking for some new Scotch. I’ve mostly got Highland Park but would prefer something new.

well I AM a lot closer to Nicaragua than you !!!!!!!!!!!

:crylol:

we have a local Cuenca distilery than does rum here too. regular bottle about 7 dollars, 5 year old about 9 and the 7 year old about 11.

very nice but to be honest, that Flor de Cana is so much smoother. I do like to support the local economy but goodness gracious for another 8 dollars it's well worth it.

My local has peach Jubel on draft.
Not my usual bag but very refreshing on a hot day. They slide sown very easily

My Dad got me a job at a CAMRA-owned Real Ale off-licence when I was 18 (slope, slippery). Out front was a standard offy, but the back room contained about 10 barrels of real ale; we usually had 3 or 4 ready to go at any time. We sold 4 and 8-pint containers or you could bring your own. We also sold draft scrumpy and even Sherry (from a polypin) and we sold wine from boxes. I got a proper taste for real ale there; my favourites were Everard's Old Original and Bateman's XXXB. My best mate got a job there, too, and it was like being paid to drink beer. Dream job. There was a Chinese-owned Chippy next door, and they would often come in with a bag of chips, leave it on the counter and grab a couple of beers off the shelf. No skin off my nose. Happy days.

My old man, tired of working in the city and about to finish up a contract that should set him up till the end, has decided to pack it all in and with his best mate, who is in a similar position, attempt to produce and sell their own rum.

So yeah. I'm going to be a rum heir.

Will post details once they're up and running.

My favourite alcoholic drink has always been Guinness

But it’s not ideal for the heat of Australia

My drink of choice here are ,

White Rabbit Dark Ale
James Squires 150 Lashes Pale Ale

Lovely

Coopers is immense.

I think Waitrose sell it, or at least they did.
