Quite liked the Vault City beers I've had. They did an Irn Bru one which was bonkers.

As you say, a half is probably enough for me.

Yeah, Tiny Rebel are pretty awful these days.

I quite like Yonder from Somerset as well for stuff in that vein.

Will do! Looking to cut beer expenditure at the moment.

Noticed a few Oktoberfest ones in Aldi yesterday - a few own brand ones but they had Spaten too for £1.79.

Avoid the own brand stuff. It's effin' *****. Go for the Spaten. It's decent for the money.

I've had a couple from this brewery, their wheat beer was terrible but they did one called Brian which was really nice.

Had a pint of Anspach and Hobday's London Black at the weekend. Anyone else had it? Well worth a look if you see it on anywhere.

Not a massive Guinness fan by any stretch but it is always my go-to in pubs with nothing else on. I would definitely opt for a pint of this over Guinness from now on if it was a choice. A little richer and slightly sweeter, but I'd kind of expect that from a London-style porter.

I could see this becoming popular! I would love it - love it - if a smallish London brewery could eat into Diageo's stout monopoly a bit.

Tried a few of the Lidl specials at the weekend, two nice strong ipas, Big drifter and Coastal summat or other, also, surprisingly a nice strawberry milkshake beer called Big Berry Bon Bon, I’m not usually into these wacky, fruity brews but I liked this one and at 7.2% it does the job.

Just got 12 cans of Punk IPA for £12 - a bargain I feel. (I know, I know, Brewdog.) I just love it and it beats paying £4.50 in the pub for the same sized can - not that I would pay that!

Don't tell GCRO but I also bought 4 bottles of German wine (Hock, Mosel, Liebfraumilch and Riesling) as I do like a german wine to finish off the night.

I also bought a bit of food :)

Tonight I will be mostly drinking either Estrella or Stowford Press on draft down my local for the pub quiz.

Made my first trip back to Upton Park since May 2016 yesterday.

What a renovation The Boleyn has had. More importantly though the tap selection was probably the best from any pub I have been to in this country for ages. Had a Krombacher followed by a Litovel Premium. Very very good, highly recommend a visit.
