What a renovation The Boleyn has had. More importantly though the tap selection was probably the best from any pub I have been to in this country for ages. Had a Krombacher followed by a Litovel Premium. Very very good, highly recommend a visit.
They have done such a nice job of that pub. And agreed on the beer selection.

DId you see the West Ham mirrors?

Picked up some of this on my way home tonight … thinking the claret and blue colours would bring me luck … it clearly didn’t work but the 7.8% induced wobbliness is a small consolation!!

I'm not an ale drinker by nature but fed up for paying over £10 for two pints I started looking for something else.

My mate was drinking London Pride, so I joined him, Not the best beer in the world, but drinakable and did the job.

I went to the bar to get two more pints - they only cost £5.50 for them both!

I may well be a dedicated Ale drinker from now on.

Some great ones out there. Batemans are your local brewery. They do some great ales.

Whisky season started late this year, purchased a Tullibardine Sovereign in sainsburys £24 - down from £37, just had a couple of nips, very nice, mellow, recommend.

Found myself increasingly going into the likes of Lidl and Aldi and picking something random off the shelf without looking at it closely.

My rule of thumb is to find something you’ve never heard of and have a lucky dip.
