Re: Positivity Thread
We can take shots from anywhere, and we know they will go in.
Well some will… the one from the centre circle got affected by the wind.
Great job Moyes and the coaches.
Great journey and ride. Best that I can remember, but to be fair I cannot remember all of last season.

Re: Positivity Thread
- Despite our poor form, we’re still 5th in the table for now;
- We have a slightly favourable run of fixtures now;
- Dawson and Diop have played well since being in the team together;
- Another kid from the Academy of Football made his Premier League debut last night and could well start this Saturday too.

Re: Positivity Thread
Pull up a bean bag.
The players are exhausted and out of form but we all know how the game works and come Feb.25th we will know who we face in the last 16 of the Europa League. By then we may have rediscovered our old selves. Let’s hope so.

63 top flight seasons. In only 19 have we finished 9th or higher, in only 6 have we finished in the top 6.
We are still in with a chance of both. Achieve either and it will have been a successful season, get some form of Europe again via league position and that will make it pretty much unprecedented.

Re: Positivity Thread
We had a run of 9 wins, 1 draw & 1 loss then switched to a run of 6 losses, 2 draws & 2 wins.
It's time for another good run again.

Even under pressure we've not resorted to widespread cheating seen elsewhere.
Long may it continue.

Re: Positivity Thread
- Top half of the league
- Positive goal difference
- Not in a relegation battle
- Still in three competitions
- Only lost one game by two clear goals in over a year
We’re not on the best run, but we’re still pretty well set. Keep the faith.

Re: Positivity Thread
but without a couple of additions, I can't see this run turning around consistently enough. we'll get a few wins here and there, that's football. but I feel this should be s "statement of intent" year. and as some have stated a fizzle out to the end of the season "might" make Rice ponder.
Mr. Chairman* needs to say to the young man "What can we do to keep you here long term and build a team around you ?"

Re: Positivity Thread
Well we’re not going to get that from our current chairman, so may as well just look at the positives. Like I said, we’re not on the best run, but there are still positives. We’re not Man City or Liverpool - we’re not going to win 70%+ of our games.Cuenca 'ammer wrote: ↑Sun Dec 26, 2021 9:15 pm but without a couple of additions, I can't see this run turning around consistently enough. we'll get a few wins here and there, that's football. but I feel this should be s "statement of intent" year. and as some have stated a fizzle out to the end of the season "might" make Rice ponder.

Re: Positivity Thread
agreed but we're going to need to do better against the bottom shyte, as we can't be guaranteed to beat the top 6 home and away the rest of the way ............
