Odd how some people take a dim view on private sector profit but turn a blind eye to public sector wastefulness.
Especially as the profit pays for the public sector.

He did have a few games on the right wing.

Apart from those industries where the public sector covers the losses of the private sector. And let's not forget the countless big businesses who make a profit because the government subsidise their shitty wages with working benefits.

Almost as though they need each other :chin:

I'm assuming by 'letters' it means letters of no confidence to the 1922 committee.

Only just had the chance to watch Boris Johnson's interview with Beth Rigby on Sky News.

Talk about car crash. She held no punches at all.

The best bit was when she mentioned him being at a piss up the night before the Queen was pictured sitting alone at Phil the Greek's funeral. Head bowed, shaking, letting out a big sigh. The forlorn look of a man that knows he is done. Absolutely beautiful television at it's absolute best.

Tomorrow Nadine Dorris tweets that it's time to look at Sky's funding model to protect pensioners and hard working families

Best thing you can say about that interview in his favour is that he's paid attention to whichever junior member of the team came away from a focus group suggesting he hides his grin behind a mask this time.

Is it not a bit weird that the interviewer is grilling the interviewee over breaking covid rules (understand the importance of interviewee is a rulemaker) yet said Interviewer is also guilty of breaking covid rules. Is there any credibility in this political circus ?

I heard it on the radio. At the end of it, I said out loud to myself, oh my god..
It's like he saw (Prince) Andrew's Maitlis interview & thought, "that's a good idea"..

You would think. Especially as SKY has loved every minute keeping the fear going, promoting the rules.
If she was questioning the lockdown or the basis it was made then fair enough.
