One keeper, no full backs, no dynamic midfielder and no second striker.

When Moyes was here he had 2 keepers, Zabaleta was at least a bit younger, Collins had spirit, Lanzini was fit,we had Kouyate and Obiang and up front Mad Marko, Carroll and Hernandez.

Oh and he brought in Evra as well as the Preston tax dodge so that’s 2 sticks to beat him with.

Diop and Anderson are improvements, not sure the others are. Yarmolenko won’t get a look in unless he suddenly discovers that he needs to at least try to defend.

I like the theory that we now have a better squad that convincingly could make Europe, but I think in reality it’s b*llocks.

I feel embarrassed/ashamed of our owners.
They have no other ambition other than to survive, take the cash and rip the heart out of the club.
Is there only solution really to turn to the person who they didn’t think was good enough before!
Never go back. And that’s nothing against Moyes.
I personally think he did a ok job first time around and should have been given longer but there wanted a bigger and better name.
I feel the fans are being swindled.

And so did everyone else. It wasn't board exclusive.

It's happening now too. Not Moyes, get Potch, get Kovac.

There’s an element of revisionism here, do we not remember the turgid football and lacklustre games that created the Burnley situation?

The squad may be marginally better, but Moyes is not going to suddenly know how to play attacking football that suits the squad we have. We lack the work horses for his dull displays.

As for whether we could get Poch or Kovac or not, Everton did just get Ancellotti in an equally bad run of form. Surely giving it a few days and sounding them out is better than appointing in a panic.

What`s Schteve up to? A crap manager for our crap board. I`d like him here purely for his opening press conference, as he lapses into his best Dick Van Dyke cockney, bursts into a couple of verses of The Sideboard Song while tucking into a plate of pie`n`mash. Yes, Schteve it is.
Seriously though, as many have said , how can you hire the very bloke you didn`t want the first time around? Only at West Ham, where of course, we`re not run like a circus any more.

The problem we have is a toxic board that is well known in football. everton have decent owners who have ambition for the club.

we have a pair of porn shysters who charge the club interest ! plus brady who would do anything for money, no morals or drawers !

who we appoint next will tell us all we need to know about the direction of the club. truth is we already know the answer and nothing will change until gsb leave.

I think the bigger question is who is prepared to work under these owners? It’s all well and good wishing for x y & z but Given the lack of squad depth, meddling in transfers, sly leaks, Brady’s column, lowballing transfer offers.... I could go on.

I know people laugh at the mention football video games however try making a decent line up with our players then when you have done that look to the second string, for all the ‘attacking’ players purchased we have no depth, only Anderson and Antonio are suitable as wingers, only Rice is a DCM, Noble, Wilshere & Yarmalenko lack pace, Zabaleta isn’t a viable option etc.

Whoever comes in will demand a kings ransom and rightly so but I can’t see how they sort this mess out, deal with the behind closed doors issues and actually win games.

Why would someone with a CV like Ancelotti's ever think of coming to work for the Toxic Trio in the middle of a relegation battle, when they can take their pick of jobs around Europe ?
And supposing, for the sake of argument, that we had got Ancelotti - would he stick around if we got relegated, and even if he did -
would he be the ideal candidate to get us promoted from the Championship?

Pleas forward all such questions to -

Paid 7m to Pelle,

Could and should get in Wenger or Poch, or even try for the Ajax manager who is on a pittance and has built a youthful an excellent team.

We will end up with average Joe Moyes or Hughton.

Moyes, hughton, pullis, Warnock, allardyce, redknapp all make me feel a bit sick.

Dicksy - Kovac has been lauded by some but at Bayern he was found wanting in the same way Bilic was, clueless when things were going wrong, good when they were winning.

Wenger has a fantastic record and knows a player, and the league, I don't care if he is 100 years old, but merely going for the same old tired names like Moyes and Hughton will just lead to more misery.

Can understand bringing Moyes back in but as many have said it's not progressive, it's pretty dull.

Do we need great tactical nous? What we need is flexibility and attention to detail

A 3-4-3 with Diop, Cresswell and one of Ogbonna or Balbuena across the back, Rice, Noble Arthur and Fredericks across the middle, Anderson, Haller and Antonio up top should have been tried with what we have. Is that great tactical nous etc - of course not plain common sense given the run we have been on yet we have stuck to some form of 4 at the back and generally been a laughing stock.

The first thing any new manager has to do is change the culture which seems to suggest defending is someone else’s job not mine. Players positioning yesterday was awful the biggest joke (well maybe second biggest after Diop trying and failing twice to commit a professional foul) being Lanzini trying to defend from in front of the player and pushing him over when a simple pass took him out of the game. Arthur for their first - if in doubt stick it behind not some hopeful back header. None of this should be rocket science to a properly coached side.

Haller is the main striker in the way Arnie was after Moyes arrived, the next manager therefore needs to find a way to get the best out of him and that is not to isolate him upfront as so often has been the case but to get at least one or two players closer to him with instructions to look to get beyond him. If that means primarily attacking with 3 and the other 7 more defensive then so be it if it improves the team’s results.

If it's an anti football dinosaur of the dug out manager they want then why not just go the whole hog, Pulis

Give it time Puff. If Moyes was to turn it down (highly unlikely I know) then Pullis will certainly be there next target.
