I don’t personally give a sh*t what he does but don’t live your life like the very definition of ‘capitalism’ and then preach about Socialism at the Labour conference. Just keep your mouth shut!

So he was lucky enough to have made money through football, and then invested it wisely playing the system set up by other wealthy people. Yet you seem to think he shouldn't believe in socialist policies because he has some money?

They are clearly going New Labour as a strategy, which makes sense to be fair.

That means Starmer will be thought of as a Tory no later than 2026.

It's just history re-running.

It’s certainly not a laughing matter you’re right about that, it’s a bit of a cock up by Labour.

Don’t worry, I just think a lot of modern Labour voters don’t really understand what Socialism is.

Why do you hate success Macca? You Tories need to stop with the politics of envy.

Despite his making money from capitalism he actually shows some class and wants to give something back.

There is nothing wrong with that

Can this and Rebecca Long-Bailey's total failure in the leadership election put to bed any notions of Corbyn supporters still having any hold on the party?
As welcoming as that is 38% is still a sizable figure.

I have no doubts that if the Tories decided to sing the Palestinian anthem at their conference they'd also need reminding of the words........

Given the average age of Tory members I should think that any measure designed to help those with failing memories would be welcome.

In your eyes, Macca - Is it possible to be wealthy and successful and to attend a Labour conference or be a Labour voter?

Everything that’s going on and this is relevant?

We have reached a point where for now at least, Conservatives have nothing useful or important left to say.

Did Neville "preach about Socialism", Macca?

You do understand that having political views that lean towards the left doesn't make you a Socialist, don't you? Otherwise, doesn't it mean that you're a Fascist by voting Tory?

It's an almost impossible position for celebrities to be in, they'll always only be one misplaced comment or action away from claims of hypocrisy and Champagne socialism. Ricky Tomlinson is never shy about his politics and comes across as a genuine bloke and proud socialist, despite his fortunes no one would accuse of him of being a Champagne socialist, I suppose his background plays a large part in that. Contrast that with the likes of Russell Brand who just comes across as a horrendous front bum.
Personally I'd place Neville towards the Ricky Tomlinson end of the rich lefty spectrum.....

I don't think you really know what socialism means, understand that supporting social policies designed to assist the population at large and less wealthy people is not automatically socialism, or that people that have earnt more money than most others can still support such policies and don't necessary need to fall into the traditional Tory "pull up the draw bridge" mantra.
