Can't be. I'm sure it was said last week that the away fans all want him gone.

I personally think Moyes is getting a fair deal with the fans.

Disgruntlement but no one is baying for blood. I think the poll on here recently perfectly summed up where we’re at.

No one is forgetting. He’s just not doing himself any favours with selections and subs. I can see why a lot are concerned.

Last few games has been building on something - let’s see.

There are signs we could be slowly turning the corner but still far too early to say we’ve turn a corner. We lost once in 5, whilst play relegation to rivals, a heavily rotated Brentford and a league 1 team.

The next step is showing we are capable of picking up results against teams that turn up in the prem and aren’t in a relegation scrap.

With Newcastle, Chelsea and Tottenham next, Moyes needs to get a least 1 result from those games. I’d argue he needs a win or two draws and to then follow that up with a win at him to Forrest. Otherwise he’ll need to go. We can’t have less than a point a game after 24 games, with Man City, Brighton plus a rejuvenated Villa on the horizon.

Does Moyes ever win against the top sides?
At the end of those three games we could be right in the brown and sticky

Just pleased that the players are still playing for him based on tonight.

If he can get us out of this mess it also shows great qualities as a manager.

We've won at Newcastle and beaten Chelsea at home under Moyes.

Spot on imo. It’s only right that fans will get disgruntled with the manager in a poor season, but largely the criticism has been pretty measured rather than OTT (well on this lovely forum anyway - Twitter is full of crackpots which is why I don’t go there).

Who,to be fair, were unbeaten for umpteen games. Plus we won comfortably, which is more than can be said for the game at Kidderminster a year ago. So you could say we’ve improved 😂
Just enjoy the win tonight. We’ve had precious few this season 👍🏻

Against League 1 sides…

Anyway one thing i’m grateful to Moyes for during his reign is not contributing to our long history of humiliating ourselves against lesser opposition is Cups

Don’t particularly like the Conte-style 3-4-3 - we don’t keep the ball well enough and it inevitably ends up being the same old predictable counter attacking stuff we’ve been moaning about for a year - however the tweak Moyes made in the second half this evening, with Fornals making up a three in midfield and two wide forwards playing the full width of the field is interesting.

We instantly kept the ball better, controlled the game and crucially, it suits the forwards we have. Bowen, Antonio, Benny, Ings, Cornet, Mubama…..all perfectly suited to it. Scamacca perhaps not so much.

Unfortunately, there isn't one system that really suits us. Too many mixed ideas, from other managers and from this one.

I think the 3-4-3 might be best for where we're at right now. I'd prefer a 4-3-3, but I am not annoyed by the current approach, by any means.

because mate, we don't have the personnel

no RWB to play 5.

not enough CB's imvho (I think you need 5 if you're playing 3) and a not great LB for a 4.

too many like minded CM's - Rice, Paquetta, Downes, Soucek, Fornals and no real progressive 10

no real competition for RW or LW and to be honest, no real back up for a 9

and as many have pointed out, another load of OOC's in the summer so we're looking to integrate maybe another 6 plus players in a squad who haven't as yet managed to completely integrate those who came in last summer.
