Actually it was the Van Gaal tenure that did most damage. The coaching turnover was pretty light while Moyes didn’t do anything to the squad bar adding Fellaini and Mata, who both went on to so reasonably well.

In your view how has Moyes ruined Man Utd, was it his signings, the money he spent, what??? and how has that ruined the club since?

Yeah but they had a very aging squad that already had two players retire who then subsequently came out of retirement to help Fergie.

Sorry IB,not meaning to pull you up but he took his own coaching team in there and got rid of Fergusons top three coaches.

(taken from relegation thread)

Quite a few on here seem to think we are not even involved in a relegation battle.Just because we beat a very poor Everton side that is on it's knees,we are going to be fine and we have nothing to worry about..

For some of the exceptional talent we have,we are producing complete boring drivel that is totally unacceptable to me.We are all entitled to an opinion and rightly so,but for the life of me,I cannot understand why some posters are happy for him to continue.Yes I know the owners are tossers, but his got enough talent there for us to be doing better. One thing is missing, how slow and ponderous are we going forward has a team.We lack pace and have lacked it since Lingard left and Antonio has aged. The other week,we started nearly the same team has in lockdown in 2020.Moyes lacks the vision for me to take us forward, even if we do survive. The sooner Moyes and the current board departs, the better.

RANT OVER.

Van Gaal won a trophy, Moyes cannot relate. Funny you mention Fellaini who he wanted over Thiago which just about sums up the way he looks at football

Obviously Man U isn’t his fault, they’ve been run like **** for over a decade

Ok fella..he got rid of Fergies top three coaches which was a proven winning formula and replaced them with his own everton stooges who had won f..k all and didn't have a clue how to handle winning players. He brought in Fellouni as his big buy who would never fit into Uniteds style of play and would have been better suited for Wimbledon.by the time that he was booted out the door, united were in turmoil and turned to the Dutch moyes who again brought in his own coaching staff.United have never been at the top since and Moyes was the founding father of this great event.Okay fella

So he screwed Manchester United and took us to not quite winning a trophy. Two things to thank him for.

Can't really see what you're disputing there mate. We have had some diabolical results in our history but losing to Kidderminster (a 6th tier outfit) would have been the nadir of them all.

Surely there are better sticks to beat Moyes with than almost losing a game we won.

That wasn't beating anyone with anything.
It was just making a point.
