If after everything it ends up being falling out with Sullivan over transfers that gets him sacked.
There are many reasons I'd understand the club going in a different direction, I don't agree, but I understand. But if it was that, we'd be a joke.

Sullivan's wet dream is a yes man. I don't think Moyes is a yes man so I can easily see this being the reason he gets the boot rather than bad results etc.Bubbles Fortuna wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 5:18 pm If after everything it ends up being falling out with Sullivan over transfers that gets him sacked.

Nope. He may have scouted him, but Willie McStay tipped Moyes off about Coleman. That said, he’s obviously a good scout as he worked at Everton and then Chelsea.Burnley Hammer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 11:21 am I think he's the guy credited with finding Seamus Coleman

People, ffs stop going on about Poch and what he did at Spurs a few years ago.
Of course, it’s perfectly acceptable to go on about anything and everything that Moyes did at Everton a couple of decades ago.

One is relevant to us (and this thread!). The other is about Pochettino managing in the Champions League for years on end and winning a league title at PSG.

You just have to read Pink Palermo's message on the match thread to see how unrealistic getting in a someone in the Poch bracket is at the moment.
You basically need a manager who is good at spreading money very thinly across a squad and still getting good results. Pretty much Moyes in a nutshell.

Which is exactly what Man Utd did with their kids, and Spurs gave a very good account of themselves with theirs. It can be done and if any club deserves to see their kids having a go it has to be us with the players we've produced.Ironing Board wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 5:02 pm Yeah, and Mourinho built up Porto. Once you reach a certain level you want to be mixing it for honours.

Yeah. But Man Utd was lightning in a bottle, like pretty much every such talented crops of youngsters. How much have Man Utd produced since the class of 92? Producing great young players is great in theory, but tough in practice. Its even harder with Chelsea and Man City hoovering up talent from all over.snooperpooper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 5:58 pm Which is exactly what Man Utd did with their kids, and Spurs gave a very good account of themselves with theirs. I got the point, and the joke, but I have to moderate what comes after! Just look at the cuddle session that's started. I hope you can understand that.

Re: David Moyes' Claret and Blue Army!
Honestly it makes sense. DS loves to stick his hands into transfers, but was willing to take a step back here because DM had created a perfect storm where he was a. getting results, b. not spending in January, c. wasn’t publicly complaining or blaming DS and DG over lack of January spending, and d. had most fans’ support.
When those factors start to disappear, and DM still isn’t tolerating DS’s desire to make those attacking signings, DS will think that he is able to can him and put a yes-man in…

“Rubbish,” Sullivan told Hammers News regarding reports that Moyes is on the brink and they had fallen out.Crouchend_Hammer wrote: ↑Wed Dec 07, 2022 8:44 am https://www.footballinsider247.com/west ... t-sources/
