That is how I’d describe it as well. My brain power was more feeble than usual for 2-3 days too.

Re: Coronavirus
The brain fog is very real. I had it back in February, and I replied to a work related whatsapp to a client with a message that really could have ended up in both my boss and I getting fired. I literally couldn't think straight for about 4 days and it took a good few weeks to clear.

Re: Coronavirus
Pretty much the same here with the brain fog. I drove today for the first time since, and really didn't like it.
Hope it's clear by this time in a fortnight, as I'll be driving on the opposite side of the road for 400 miles

Tested positive today.
Almost certainly from the tube on Sunday, which was inordinately dammed.

Re: Coronavirus
Brain fog has hit hard today, I feel like I've just woke up but that was over three hours ago. Got no work done at all and not sure I will today. Can barely open documents let alone work on them.

Re: Coronavirus
Yeah, same here.
Never would have believed in 'long covid' if I hadn't been suffering the above symptoms for the last couple of years.

Re: Coronavirus
For some it is. For some it isn't. For some it will mean death so they'll not be be able to tell.
Not unlike any other corona virus.

Re: Coronavirus
My mum and dad both had Omicron, both high risk, my mum had a call from the consultant who has overseen her care for the last few years, and his exact words were.. " You're lucky you have Omicron, at least it won't kill you"
Yeah, cheers then.
They were both really ill at the time, and were still testing positive after day 14..
Get well, soon dude, hope your missus and little one don't get it.
Re: Coronavirus
Is there something going on in China that they're not telling us?
28 day total lockdown in Shanghai. Fences being put up to stop people going out. Great difficulty in getting food deliveries.
Apparently to stop spread of Omicron.
BBC giving more coverage to this than almost 2000 deaths a week in UK.

Re: Coronavirus
China is pursuing a zero covid strategy, I'm convinced the UK is back on the herd immunity plan now that we're mostly all vaccinated.

Re: Coronavirus
Not really. The Chinese government are massively invested into zero COVID. They have been hammering that message since pre-omicron. From the early days of omicron, it has been clear that it transmits so easily that this strategy would fail, but the Chinese state can’t admit failure, so they’ll keep going until they can find a way to change strategy without losing too much face. Their vaccine is less effective as well, which makes matters worse.brownout wrote: ↑Mon Apr 25, 2022 8:26 pm Is there something going on in China that they're not telling us?

Re: Coronavirus
in smaller lesser news, last Thursday our President said we can bin our masks !!!!
26 months. and at the beginning a 7 pm that went to a 5 pm that went to a 2 pm curfew for around 5 months.
however, the "local" authority i.e. our Mayor has the final say due to local ordinances tomorrow.
silly me went around on Friday without my mask (had one in the backpack) to see everyone else wearing one. staring at me. I'm thinking WTF ?? only to read in the paper over the weekend that this was the situation. and of course had caused much confusion.
oops !!!!
Mayor says that he's pretty much going to fall in line though so fingers crossed.
the past 6 months seems like a further 2 years just waiting.
