Tfl funding extended until 13th July

Claims of still need pension reform

More Tory lies

The review stated that the pension was on solid financial footing (have a copy of the review myself) and it says any change would cost tfl money and take years of legal changes to happen so not worth it.

Yet apparently it costs too much

Just because London votes red the Tories think they can take the Mick

Don't expect that dispute to end soon.

Talking to my rep who also sits on the pension board

Tfl have provided proof that the pension is in surplus of 660 million now

So yeah it really doesn't need change

I may not agree with his political leanings, but I can't help but admire Mick Lynch and his ability to run rings around the media and MPs. I think they hear his accent and automatically think that he is some kind of numbnut.

Admittedly Kay Burley is thicker than a microwaved dog turd.

Read today that he was one of the guys who won compensation a few years back due to being blacklisted from jobs in the construction industry due to his union membership and activities.

A proper working class hero :newthumb:

This is the thing, Bob crow was the same and was the same level as him ie the leader but when it's lul dispute we get the deputy john leach, who isnt as good imo .. I don't get why it's not the same as bobs time when he always was about

Anyways by the by I guess

It's good to see some postive union press for once

Unions are important in my eye. Nobody likes strikes, nobody likes going on strike .. but you need to make sure workers rights don't get eroded away

He doesn't actually say much, because he knows full well he doesn't have to. The media and politicians will tie themselves in knots trying to out-smart him with their BS, when that one thing that will always be their downfall is the ability to tell the truth.

Like it.

i like the cut of his jib . nice one Brother :wolfy:
I really like him.

The bit at the end is key, something along the lines of "no working class person should have to beg to get fair terms and conditions".

I've seen far too much of the age old tired "nurses don't get that so they shouldn't " well why do nurses.. firefighters.. police officers etc get paid poorly compared? Because successive governments have frozen their pay whilst increasing their own wages

Good to see someone stand up to them

So you'd be in favour of nurses, firefighters, police officers all going on strike as well as rail staff? And doctors, lawyers, hospital porters as well? Indeed, any group that considers themselves lowly or underpaid? Refuse collectors? Train drivers?

You do perhaps see some sort of flaw in that argument - such as who pays for it?

Tax the rich seems to be the standard response. I'd love to see the working out for that.

Been mentioned before, public workers get pay rises in line with MPs, that sounds quite fair to me.

Who pays ?

How about big business.

When Fatch was in power CT was 46%, it's now less than half that.

How about the dead ?

Reduce the IHT threshold to £100,000

How about an online sales tax , say 2.5% ?

It's funny. The money can always be found when the government needs to bung the DUP some money to keep them in power. The money can always be found when we need several billion to bung to MP's chums for a world beating test and trace system. The money can always be found when we need to bail out the banks, or we need to bail out failed rail franchises. The money can always be found to keep subsidising those rail franchses, despite them paying out millions each year in shareholder dividends. The money can always be found for weapons.

The money can always be found for MPs pay rises year on year, but somehow when it comes to low paid public sector workers getting pay rises that merely match the rate of infation, the cry is always "who pays for it?"

Nobody said that. All public sector workers should get the same rise as our MPs every single time. Good for them good for everyone else.

But no government suppresses workers wages whilst inflating their own
