Regarding the dogs... I'm a dog lover but I'm also aware of the nature of dogs and that they can always turn - sometimes out of aggression, sometimes out of fear. You always have to look at the breed and what it was originally bred for. Instincts pass down the generations genetically. A dog breed that was originally bred to be a guard dog, or to hunt, will always have those instincts buried away. No dog owner should have their dog off the lead in a public place if they have not trained it to come back on command. Unfortunately, all the time around here, I see people shouting for their dogs as it's bothering another dog or person - and the dog just completely ignores their owners calls. They shouldn't have that dog loose if they don't have it under control. My other gripe is that people don't establish themselves properly as a leader with their dog. There should be discipline and commands should be given with authority. Training should be taken very seriously. It really bugs me when I see people talking to their out of control dogs in pathetic baby talk. That dog isn't going to respect them. The woman with 8 dogs - were they all hers? If not then there's a danger they didn't see her as pack leader. If she's walking them for others then the official professional dog walkers guidelines recommend that not more than 4 dogs are walked at once.

I ended up adopting a rescue dog from abroad. I initially tried to get one local but it was really hard to find anything that wasn't a rottweiler, german shepherd, or staffie. There were a lot of staffies. Now I know staffies can be great dogs and I know a few people that have them and have had no issues at all. But I look at damage potential. I had a young child and had no wish for a dog that had one of the strongest bites going and could easy maul a child to death. And coming from a rescue centre, it's hard to know a dogs history. I know staffie owners may get offended by that, but I think such a dog from a rescue centre needs experienced dog owners with no young children to take it on.

Point is... you take 8 dogs on a walk and a) you're not the established pack leader, b) you have no idea how well most of those dogs have been trained, and c) it's physically impossible for you to control those dogs in the event of any trouble... it's a dangerous thing.

Shocking. Those layabouts have been on full pay for years & done absolutely nothing. Too busy with their petty squabbling to do what they were elected to do.
No side is blameless but the DUP are a different level of belligerent.
They're pissed off with Boris for using & abusing them over Brexit & being exposed as the flat earth, creationist bigots that they are.
Always thought Arlene Foster was a wagon but feck me, compared to those that followed her, she was a moderate in comparison...
McGuinnes & Paisley must be turning in their graves. If those 2 men could find common ground, anyone can...
(Imo of course).

14 years minimum for the scrote who murdered the poor bloke.

If only they'd been picked up sooner after causing trouble on the train up, in businesses etc.

Personally I think it's an utter joke how you see gangs all bowling around with hoods and balaclavas on. Bloody obvious they aren't all worried about the cold and catching Covid...

Jimmy Carter has been placed under hospice care. He’s declined further medical care and will pass imminently. Whatever people think about his Presidency, it cannot be denied that he has provided incredible service to his country and local community ever since he left office. He’s arguably the last POTUS whose integrity cannot be questioned.

Sad to hear, strikes a similar cord to the queens sudden announcement. I imagine it’s likely hours or days rather than weeks

Fantastic innings but it's sad to see him fading away nonetheless. A proper President, who lived in service to his fellow citizens.

Bloke walks in on his girlfriend & another woman having sex.

So he stabs them both to death.

I have to admit, my response would have been a lot different.

I can't be bothered to do the slightest bit of research on this, nevertheless, apparently Marjorie Taylor Greene is "working" on legislation that would "divorce" red states from blue states. A MAGA secession. The union should just sell them Florida, and any MAGA that wants to move from the US can buy themselves a condo in Trump Towers south.

Correct me if I wrong, but doesn’t the default view on the BBC website list stories by most read? So it’s top story because it has the most views?

A school teacher is stabbed to death in a little French town by the border with Spain.

Police are saying it's not terror related. The kid said voices in his head told him to kill.

The lad from the Accrington Stanley milk advert has been convicted of murder. I’m disappointed it's the wrong one, no one remembers the kid who asked the question. Not like the one who said "exacht-lee".
