Re: Great Cover Versions
I'm not sure if this is a 'great' cover version, but I don't think I've ever heard a cover which tries so hard to sound exactly like the original as this. James Murphy even sounds more like Phil Oakey than James Murphy.

Re: Great Cover Versions
Got to be this or Hurt by Johnny Cash.
Everything a cover should be, as good as the original and with its own twist.

Apologies if it’s on here already. If it isn’t, then what were you all thinking about?

Re: Great Cover Versions
From a nice romantic song by Labi Siffri came this Nutty Boys classic. "It must be love"
Labi makes a guest appearance at the end..third guitarist on the right.

Re: Great Cover Versions
Similarly, I’m not sure if this works either, but James Murphy has had a bit of a thing for 80s tunes….southbrishammer wrote: ↑Sat Aug 13, 2022 6:57 am I'm not sure if this is a 'great' cover version, but I don't think I've ever heard a cover which tries so hard to sound exactly like the original as this.
