The original was written and performed four years earlier by Robert Hazard but Cyndi's 1983 cover is the anthem

Tim Gregg and Jay Wickizer perform Townes Van Zandt's ' Pancho and Lefty ' .

Couple of virtual unknowns outdo Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard .

Always struck me the opposite ends of the scale of the 2 famous covers of this song:

- CCR's long, drawn out 'Prog Rock' version

- The Slits' shorter, punky 'New Wave' version

Love this version, but it may not be everyone's cup of tea.

Suggs does Morrissey, and yes, someone cannot spell Suedehead. A pretty good cover from Mr McPherson of what is my favourite Morrissey track.

An excellent version indeed ... possibly preferable to Mozzers live version.

As has been mentioned, Seu Jorge's Bowie covers are lovely.

Not sure how to embed but are two of my favourites:-

The Futureheads - Hounds of Love (Kate Bush)
Cat Power - I found a reason (The Velvet Underground)
