Relive every moment of every first team game since the beginning of the 2005/06 season. Our archive of matchday threads originally posted in the General Discussion Forum.
Outcomes of games during this period will have a significant degree of randomness to them, methinks. So many new variables and circumstances. Impossible to predict. However, we MUST get at least one victory from this first 3 games, and really a minimum of 4 points.
Also, just to add, I don't know if Wolves are genuinely a very good side or punching above their weight, but I find it unacceptable that they have done been doing so much better than us and are more highly regarded by bookies and pundits.
Moyes has many faults but having an old school experienced manager, and captain, will be just the ticket for being prepared IMHO
Kevin Nolan won't let them shirk either

I'm inclined to agree... Individual errors which have led to some of this calibre of player being with us in the first place might bugger things up but I'd be certain that Moyes and Nolan will have them organised at least
We will have someone playing that has more than doubled in size. Someone will have a very silly hair style. Someone that looks like they’ve forgotten how to play football. Someone that is too eager and gets sent off in the first few moments... and a goal keeper crisis by the end of the day.

Blimey, and I thought I was the biggest West Ham pessimist.
