Interesting fact about My Sharona: Quentin Tarantino wanted it for the soundtrack to his 1994 classic Pulp Fiction; specifically for the scene in which Marcellus Wallace is raped by Zed, because, according to Quentin, it had a great ass-****ing beat. Which it does! In his head, he'd always envisioned that scene set to My Sharona. Of course, he couldn't secure the rights (the band refused permission for use since one of them had become a born-again Christian) and so he went with The Revels' 1964 surf number Comanche instead.
