Just watched a fascinating doc about The Go-Go’s on Sky and learned a lot about them. Can quite believe that they are still the only all female band who have had a no.1 album in the US, having written all the songs and played all of the instruments.

They have been writing again recently and came up with this tune last year.

Jane Wiedlin is still my favourite of them - and sports a classy grey hairstyle.

Was listening to the 80s day on Radio 6 yesterday and learned that it wasn’t the Wedding Present who originally recorded this fine ditty … but was fellow Leeds band Girls At Out Best, back in 1981.

Always loved Live it Up , takes me back to 1987 and watching Crocodile Dundee at the old Holloway Road Odeon. Great film, great track and fond memories. Good choice Eggy
