It feels like even the u21’s league results started to pick up since the turn of the year, when we involved more of the u18’s players. Would that be a fair assessment?

Re: The kids are all right
The England set up nowadays is based on trying to keep the same teams from u16 level upward, it’s much less about form but more the long term development of a certain group of players England believe will be able to make it at senior level.steveyrockstar wrote: ↑Tue Mar 21, 2023 9:28 am For all the talent that we seem to have in the U18s at the moment, I see only 2 of them have been called up to the various England youth international teams just now:
Mubama (U19)
Scarles (U18)
Weirdly, I think Ben Johnson might be in the U21s again even though he's 23.
It was an initiative started after the 2014 World Cup, all youth teams in England are also geared to producing England internationals, set on an agreed standard, training and tactical parameters.

Bumping this thread because the U18s are playing their FA Youth Cup semi final vs Southampton at the bowl on Thursday.
Tickets still available and can’t be bought on the day (apparently). First time they’ve got to this point since the days of Cole and Carrick.

Surely, they would have got a bigger crowd letting people in on the night, but I suppose it don't work like that no more.A real shame.hammers92 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 12:15 pm Bumping this thread because the U18s are playing their FA Youth Cup semi final vs Southampton at the bowl on Thursday.

The other Semi-Final between Arsenal and Man City looks to be going to penalties.

Perfect opportunity to win this competition again. I'll be there on Thursday.hammers92 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 04, 2023 12:15 pm Bumping this thread because the U18s are playing their FA Youth Cup semi final vs Southampton at the bowl on Thursday.
