Does anyone know the relative quality of the Danish 1st division (their Championship equivalent)

Trott has worked his way into being first choice for the league leaders, but at 24 I'd assume he's not going to be good enough to break through with us.

Keepers tend to develop much later, unless they're exceptional talents. Fabianski didn't hold down a regular Premier League starting place until he moved to Swansea when he was 30 and we all regard him as being 1 of the best in the League from that point on.

A very young West Ham u18s side (a few 15 and 16 year olds, alongside 17 year olds I've never heard of) currently 2-0 up against West Brom.

15 points clear at the top of the table, not playing Mubama, Earthy, Casey, Kadua, Marshall, Laing, Potts, Robinson or Kelly. They've all moved onto the u21s.

Future is bright.

Bubbles Fortuna,
When you say they've all moved up to the under 21's, are they actually being selected now for them or just being rested for the under 18's do you know?.

Last three games for the u21s have seen Mubama, Clayton, Orford, Laing, Potts, Earthy, Robinson and Casey get at least one start, with more appearances off the bench.

Kadua, Orford and Scarles have also featured from the bench.

I don't know whether the mass exodus from the u18s today is permanent though, but great to see the 15/16 year olds playing a year group above.

Mubama has 5 goals on 6 games for the u18s and 11 goals in 15 games for the u21s.

Have to say, was impressed with the 3 Thursday night, I know the opposition wasn't Real Madrid, but they do have something about them, 🤞at least one of them makes it.

It's very rare for academy products to make it on this league, most teams only have one or two as regulars at any one time. Wouldn't it be lovely to get that little bit of luck that Chelsea got with James and Mount and have a couple break through to plug some gaps.

All the top divisions of Scandinavian football are ****.
However at 24, he's not a kid anymore anyway

But compared to the English leagues, is it League one? Lower?

Goalkeepers tend to be older when they break through so number one in a League One standard at 24 isn't bad.

I guess the best/richest teams, like FC Copenhagen could survive a season in the Championship, but would probably thrive lower. Impossible to say though. There have been some teams punching above their weight for seasons in a row like Rosenborg, but that was in the 90s (genius manager and very big on resources for a norwegian team at that time)

The danish second division I would hazard a guess is more like League 2. Most young talented players from Denmark get picked up when they’re around 20 and end up in Holland, Germany and France.

I guess any stepping up to PL2 will still be available for Keen and his U18s, bearing in mind they are still in with a chance of three trophies.

I'd assume the League Final (looks like it'll be against Man City or Sunderland) we'd bring in the likes of Mubama.

I would hope they will all be in contention for the semi against Southampton at The London Stadium.

U21s currently 3-0 up against Wolves, strangely no Mubama or Marshall are they on international duty?

Of which, I hope this gets a bloody good turn out.

I’ll be there, though that might dissuade some posters to also buy tickets.

Wolves goalkeeper got sent off in the 20th minute, they didn't have one on the bench and subbed on a CB for a striker.

West Ham won 5-0.

Didn't FC MIdjitland smash Lazio 4-0 (or similar) in the Champs League groups this season?

For all the talent that we seem to have in the U18s at the moment, I see only 2 of them have been called up to the various England youth international teams just now:
Mubama (U19)
Scarles (U18)

Weirdly, I think Ben Johnson might be in the U21s again even though he's 23. :chin:
