Not at all , but charity starts at home so lets look after home 1st , i know this is a complicated matter but whilst we're in a cost of living crisis we need to make ourselves harder to enter
We are an island that doesn't allow you to apply for asylum outside the country. Short of pulling the island 500miles north, how much harder can we make it?
Even then all you'd need to do is book a return flight and disappear
The RNLI can't be blamed. People die crossing the channel and they put their own lives at risk to help others.
People will always try to reach the UK as long as it has something to offer them that is better than elsewhere.
I was watching something the other day that followed a group of migrants and they were saying that they know their application in France would be rejected (and I assume the same with the several other countries they pass through), and face deportation, so they risk the dangers of the Channel as our system is pretty much inefficient (and the benefits/services they have access to is greater whilst they find work).
It's been said a few times here (TTS if I remember), there should really be hubs across the continent where applications can be processed.

Harder to enter ?
What proportion of the , very nearly 2,610,024 people who were granted entry in the year to September come via a dinghy?
Of those granted entry 248,919 were granted work visas.
Are those arriving by dinghy such a problem to an extent that you think the RNLI are some sort of a problem?

Well you know the old saying, when things start going wrong in a country, blame the unions and immigrants.
Seems familiar.
If anyone is looking for a way to a) help migrants and b) learn some useful cookery skills you could do worse than buying yourself a lesson at Migrateful
I went a couple of weeks ago with my daughter and had a brilliant afternoon learning how to make Chinese cabbage dumplings from scratch. Located in London, Bristol, Brighton and Kent.
^ ^ I was waiting for someone to make the tap in, a bit disappointing it was there for so long before someone did, we need to up our game for the new year.......
ive seen similar just off oxford street in london .
also locally we have Bulgarians who like to congregate in groups smoke n chat and drink in public,
its what they do ,not hurting anyone but can be a little intimidating .
all very european .

What is the point of the post? Are we reduced to guessing via the medium of **** tweets?
Considering we've had someone on here quote a tweet containing the left leaning dribblings of the lead singer of the Charlatans as a credible news source then yes mate,.........
Probably more incompetence than complicit mate. As I posted on the other thread, aside from those who are worryingly getting picked up against their will I wouldn't be too surprised if some are not really kids and / or are simply being picked up by their mates to continue their journey, or as Monkeybubbs posted, possibly just re-joining their Albanian gang.
No matter what, it's still yet another failing......
