Broke my own golden rule in that opening race and jumped off Real World and plumped for My Oberon instead. Had my selections all sorted last night but was watching The Opening Show this morning as the skies opened up on the Knavesmire, and listened to Matt Chapman saying Real World won’t like the going and if it rains any more might even get pulled from the race!
Always go with your first pick 🙄

Twas a great 4 days racing and thanks again to Rich for taking the time to put this all together.

Highlights of the week were the performances of Mishriff, Snowfall and Lusail but the crowning moment for me was that epic duel between the young pretender Spanish Mission and the battle hardened veteran Stradivarius who just refused to be beaten. Spanish Mission will win many races to come, possibly as soon as this year’s Melbourne Cup but for now Stradivarius reigns supreme.
Massive disappointment yesterday was Mt Leinster who ran a stinker from the back of the field all the way round and finished way down the order. My thinking was that Willie Mullins wouldn’t make the journey over without a strong chance and the ground was supposedly in her favour but was beaten all the way round.

A minor complaint though on what was a great festival.

Until next time……………….

Congratulations chickenrun and thanks r99c for organising.

Great weeks racing and wasn’t very successful for myself, but that’s how it can go sometimes.

Until next time!
