Cat’s just curled up on my lap. He’s jolly warm and doing a damn good job of keeping my knees nice & toasty. Good lad 👍

Log burner on tonight. Finally got an excuse to get rid of all the left over joinery from the extension four years ago!

So today's the day we should all be submitting meter readings so that we don't all have to pay the new higher rate for energy we've already used.
Anyone know what to stop someone adding several hundred digits to these readings so that all your winter heat is paid at the old lower rate?
Am obviously asking for a friend.
He lied.
Nobody ever comes to read my meter anyway.

Pretty sure it's considered as meter fraud to do that, remember reading something about it at the time of the last bill hike.

It would very possibly flag up that you had used a highly unusual large amount of energy since your last payment & could provoke an investigation..
And then the next bill, it would flag up that you had strangely used f*ck all energy over the coldest part of the year, also provoking an investigation..

Looked at getting one fitted in our front room fireplace a few years back. Quoted £3.8k for a small one. Decided against it.

Good girl.
I bought a cheap and nasty “enormous fluffy hoody” thing off Amazon a couple weeks back. Looks absolutely ludicrous, but keeps Jack Frost off my John Thomas whilst shivering in my unheated, poorly insulated garden offis.

We had ours put in about a decade ago, I think it was half that at the time. It was a nice to have back then, now it is probably saving us money.

The previous owner put one in. He acted like was a massive selling feature, we both weren't bothered

Havent used in 8 years

Once the kids are older might look at having the chimney swept
