I got one installed in my old place with the money my Nan left me when she died, had wanted one for a while and thought it would be a nice memorial. Thought of her every time I lit it.

Ex-wife kept the house in the separation.

Mrs SBH went shopping today, and afterwards she sent me this text:

"Just got back from Dunelm. They had loads of tacky blankets, slankets and probably even wankets to keep people warm!"

I'm going to pay a visit to check out the wankets, I reckon I could live in one all winter.

It's a onesie, isn't it...

I'm worried the heating will be going on soon just to dry clothes.

Currently in the office at work blasting the electric blow heater full pelt.

I've left Mrs Sendo orders to get to B&Q today to get a better draft seal for the front door, or else to get a draft excluder.

Normally I’d try and wait until mid October but the wife has been cold and had the heating on a few times already this week.

It’s getting dark now by 7pm and with the wind and the rain it’s a bit depressing.

An hour in the morning and 90 mins at about 8pm is enough at the moment to heat the house up a bit.

With the current rates it’s probably cheaper just to buy some new clobber each week.

T shirt weather at the football yesterday.

Only 142 days until Spring is with us.

Endure the unendurable, no, not Puff Daddys posts, a no heating winter.

If your other half starts whinging, offer then the chance to have the heating on for just 10 days between now and then : they get to decide which 10, but it can only be 10.

How long can they hold out.

New double radiator fitted in the living room yesterday.

Looks as though it'll be relatively mild for the next ten days, so might not even need it for a while. :fxd:

Gas meter reading Friday 254/6, Gas meter reading today 254/9.

5 hot showers, 1 ring of stove used, low heat, 67 minutes.

Not that I'm tight fisted.

A balmy 17 degrees here in Essex.

You need a dehumidifier not the heating, way cheaper and will do a job on warming the house up in general.

My mission this year is to spend less on energy than I did last year.

Hot water bottles, two fleeces most of the time.

I'll show the bastards.
