We boosted it for an hour Tuesday as twins had just got home but haven't since it's been warm

That cost me roughly 45p so small fry

Ours has been on an hour each morning all through summer, it only reaches about 16 degrees in Ireland and pisses rain 270 days a year :(

Had the house refurbed and got under-floor heating put in downstairs and new radiators throughout this year. I'm positively excited.

Stop this nonsense. We all know the rules, heating goes on 1st December and off at the end of February.
Otherwise stick another layer on and walk around a bit.

We had the heating on already tonight.

The wife is from Mauritius so feels cold when I think it’s still t shirt weather.

I wouldn’t mind so much but she doesn’t like the hot summers here either (not that we really had a great summer here this year anyway).

It’ll be an interesting call this year as I am working from home, so it may go on a bit earlier than usual .... maybe December 4th. I am considering opening up the fireplace in our dining room though.

We had AC units blasting all f*cking summer. If anyone thinks I’m paying for heating as well, they are very much mistaken.

Early next week in Denver it's supposed to go from 37.77C to -6.7C and snowing in 18 hrs. Schizo weather continues in the good ole U S of A.

Not. Even. Close.

Still playing and running junior cricket games. How can you have the heating on in the cricket season?

I'm trying to get a smart meter from my fuel supplier. The heating will be permanently switched off when the missus finds out how much it costs to run.

Anyway, never before October.

I had an old workmate (Arsenal fan as it happens) who wouldn’t put his heating on until December.

He also used to laugh that he stayed in on Halloween night and just turned off all the lights and the TV so no-one would knock for sweets!
