What an awful kick. Amazing what pressure can do.
The Bills are the Jimmy White of NFL.

Re: NFL For Dummies
bit of a back story..
was playing men's football in the morning. jumped for a header and this bloke undercut me, fell and landed on my shoulder. thought I'd broken it.
no problem, off to Ben Taub ER which although a fabulous hospital, it's a free hospital. e.g. if you ever get shot, that's the place you want to go as they have the most experience of any hospital in Houston. in fact any cop who's been shot goes there straight away !!!
all the lads have arranged a Super Bowl party of course. my room mate drops me off says call when you're done and I'll pick you up. the world and his brother were there, which for a Sunday afternoon was unusual. never mind, I'll just watch the Super Bowl while I wait.
the game's under way, I get called in. okay I'll be out fairly soon. nope. sat in that cubicle for so long. how long you ask ?
get out to see that missed kick. couple of times the doctor came in to see me, gotta go, someone just ran through a plate glass window...etc. etc. etc.
needless to say I'll never forget that day.
had a 3rd degree separation of my shoulder. which on cold damp days still hurts like eff..

Can see Rodgers moving to the raiders. Not far at all from his home state of California, couple of seasons winding down in the sun. And why not eh?

49ers v Eagles. Battle of the despicable.
Cuenca, may not be your first choice to memorialize that fine evening, but at least when it’s cold and damp you get a reminder of Scott’s glory. Fwiw, I broke a finger on Scott’s miss. I was crouched on the couch and as the ball sailed wide I jumped and punched the air. Unfortunately the low ceiling got in the way and I split a knuckle. Worth it though.

Re: NFL For Dummies
Purdy’s out. Rough start for SF. This is teetering right now. This has the feel of the Giants v 49ers back in 86. Feels like a rout is coming.

Re: NFL For Dummies
Awful start for the Niners. It's all going against them so far.
Who's your SB finalists from today's games, guys?

Niners D keeping them in it.
Big brass ones. That’s what SF has. It looked like the Eagles were going to run away with this. Hand the ball off to McCaffrey is a good solution.

Re: NFL For Dummies
All a bit sad this, could have been a great game.. SF losing the plot a bit now, frustration boiling over.

Re: NFL For Dummies
I'm an occasional watcher of NFL, don't follow anything other than the game I'm watching and a bit of a novice regarding some of the finer details.
I'm watching the Cin v Kan game with 10.24 minutes left in the 4th with the score at 20-20, and I'm absolutely glued to it. Drama of the highest order.
Took something like 40 years, but I finally think I get it now.

Good game. I’m not a fan of Mahomes but I tip my hat to him for playing this game with a high ankle sprain. Takes guts.

Re: NFL For Dummies
Thought the Bengals would win last night. Either way should be a good SB. Watched the Eagles last night for the 1st time this season. f*** me their defence is scary.
9er's had no chance once Purdy got injured. They did well to keep the score close for so long. Another team with an excellent defence. Frustration got the better of them and it all went to pot.

Is an old Rodgers that much better than Carr? I mean a peak Rodgers yes but now?simon hammer wrote: ↑Sun Jan 29, 2023 3:01 pm Can see Rodgers moving to the raiders. Not far at all from his home state of California, couple of seasons winding down in the sun. And why not eh?

Re: NFL For Dummies
If Rodgers goes to Vegas it won’t be because it’s close to home. He and his family have been estranged for years.

Re: NFL For Dummies
Real shame it had to end for 49ers like that. Denied us a great game.
Chiefs all the way for me now.
