I'm not roasting Vlad. I wanted him back in the lineup when Ben took his spot earlier in the year. I didn't think Coufal had done anything to lose his spot, apart from getting covid (I believe). He really is on a bit of a bad run at the moment. At least compared to his form last season. I hope he picks it back up again because I really like him as a player.

He’s another prime example of why you should never give an improved contract to a player so soon after signing them. We should be plying Ben Johnson from now on, at least he has age on his side and room to improve, give him a reason to renew his contract

Spot on. Sadly the club and even some of our fans never learn. See page 40 of this thread.

I said it at the start of the season. Should’ve waited until at least Christmas to see how he got on.

In all honesty I would ship him, Cresswell and Fredericks out in Summer.

Buy a first choice LB and RB and have Johnson and Ashby as their back ups.

Johnson and Ashby are both right backs…

Johnson is also not that good at left back on his right foot funnily enough.

In a perfect world.

I just think that would be too much upheaval. There's already a lot of positions we need signings in. As well as finding buyers for Cresswell and Coufal.

Striker, Center Back, Center Midfield x2, add left back and right back, whether or not we make Areola permanent.

I'd make Johnson first choice and buy a left back.

Coufal off form, Soucek off form, and their mate coming in and can't get a game after much fanfare.

A bit of Czech negativity in the squad now perhaps, with the fact their mate seems to have been dumped? Summink ain't right with them.

Fredricks 100%. I’d like to see if Johnson is good enough to be our first choice RB, I have doubts but he deserves a proper run. If he isn’t then it’s another position we need, Cresswell needs to be back up. He needed replacing 3/4 years ago but moyes to his credit squeezed that bit more out of him but he can’t be first choice come August.

If he can’t recapture his form over the next few months then I’ll go all out for Livramento in the summer. Been impressed with him whenever I’ve seen him play.

Johnson is fine as a back up LB he has played there enough and is pretty much two footed.

I’ve got high hopes for Ashby.

If we could get in two decent prime age pros then we would be a much better side.

Full back is a huge weakness for us at the moment.

Personally I think it’s the same as the entire squad Dyers. Blowing out of their asses from too many genes and zero reinforcements.

You don't think he was poor then?

Can't see anything but valid criticism.

Typical. Fingers crossed they don’t feel the need to as they have Reece James.

I 100% agree with your above post that fullback is a weakness. It’s such an important position now and it looks like we’re regularly targeted there, especially down Cresswell’s side, although Coufal got rinsed today.

Could be weighted at a few over the last 5 or 6 games mate. I think we’re over achieving on a huge scale with the resources on hand.

They’ll probably buy him back then sell him on for a margin.

Chelsea all over!

He's a work horse. He'll be back good again.

Feels weird that some guys on here want him shipped in the summer. We're better than this.

Fair enough if you're looking at it from that perspective, a few of our players simply aren't quite up to it but still giving their all, Coufal though really has gone from world beater to panel beater. He was an absolute rock last season.
