January 2021 Transfer Window
Sorry, if this seems early but we're allegedly on the verge of signing a player - Silkeborg's - Frederik Alves Ibsen .
Allegedly in London for his medical at the moment. Fee supposedly £1.2m ish.

Re: January Transfer Window
Do you mean we're 2 months early? Or is he signing as a potential starter before the window opens?bubbles1966 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 7:36 pm Sorry, if this seems early but we're allegedly on the verge of signing a player - Silkeborg's - Frederik Alves Ibsen .

Re: January Transfer Window
Been impressed with Soucek and Bowen and Coufal is already looking a good spot as well.
If Moyes has green lighted this new kid hopefully this’ll be another clever purchase.

Re: January Transfer Window
I think it is planned for him to start with under 23s before pushing for first team.

Re: January Transfer Window
I reckon we’ll see a few clubs complete some European signings before the end of December as work permits will be harder to come by after January. I wonder if they can be bought now and loaned back.
Re: January Transfer Window
Have we ever signed someone to start with the under 23s who’s actually gone on to play regularly for the first team?bonzosbeard wrote: ↑Tue Nov 03, 2020 8:19 pm I think it is planned for him to start with under 23s before pushing for first team.

Re: January Transfer Window
If I remember correctly, a poster familiar with the league said he was a real talent on the summer window thread...
Hope new owners, an athletic CM, striker, and LB/LWB are next

Re: January Transfer Window
Never went into a window less with less promise than this one... BUT if a miracle occurs (GSB sell up) we could have a very different window, however, hard to believe any new ownership would be in place by then.

Re: January Transfer Window
I hope he signs because I’ve been working on a song for him.
He’s Swedish and Brazilian
So he’s either dull or brilliant
But he only cost a million
... and I haven’t come up with the last line yet.

Re: January Transfer Window
Didn't Rieper cost about £1.2m? Nice bit of inflation with promising Danish CBs.

Re: January Transfer Window
That was my first thought. Cardosa, Dju, Silva, Haksakandcrak. Why we bother with these signings I'll never know. Hopefully if this signing happens he'll prove me wrong.
I agree with Nedin in terms of what we need in January. Striker has to be number 1 priority, with a centre midfielder a close 2nd. And if we do sign anyone I do think it'll be players for those positions too. I reckon they'll wait rightfully, or wrongfully until the summer window for left wingback and centre half. If they even bother then that is! Possibly a goalkeeper too next summer.
I think the players who have contracts running out are the players we'll attempt to sign in the Janaury window. Joshua King, Nikola Maksimovic and John Lundstram I reckon are the ones to watch. I am convinced we'll get King and Lundstram especially.
