I have just had a message from Chas's wife.

She has been getting lots of messages re flowers etc. While they are appreciated and welcome if you would rather give a donation to St Francis Hospice that will be appreciated.

I now know the funeral arrangements but have been asked not to post but will gladly PM people if they want to attend.

Thx

You came out of The Fluer de Lis on the corner didn't you? The copper that stopped you was a right gobby twat, and me and a couple of mates were pissing ourselves behind you 🤣

Can't remember exactly what you said to us but it was said with utter resignation 😁

That’s the pub, and yes he was a hobby twat :crylol:

Probably unavoidable to be honest. There are no problems with people turning up at the church (apart from parking) but they live on a main road so not many places to park if people turn up at the house.

Funeral arrangements are:

Tuesday 5th April - 11am at
St Edward the Confessor Church
Market Place
Romford
RM1 3AB

Burial at
Romford Cemetery
Crow Lane
Romford
RM7 0EP

'refreshments' at
Collier Row Catholic Club
Lowshoe Lane
Romford
RM5 2AP

Procession leaving the house at 10am. Will pass on the address by PM if needed. If already posted on WHO etc I will post here as well.

I was round there last night and his wife and daughter are in pretty good spirits considering, son was at the game so didn't see him. Had a good laugh over a few things.

I am devastated as will be on holiday so can't make the funeral.

Haven’t been on here for some time and although I’d heard Chas hadn’t been well, I thought he was on the road to recovery.

Very sad to hear of Chas’s passing, what an absolute gentleman and hammers legend.
