Was interesting that he didn’t reference Antonio injury, lack of striker, sale of Haller, injuries to Cress, Masuaku or Ogbonna.
It was that Chelsea game.

Ogbonna Cresswell Masuaku
Rice
Antonio

5 absolute key parts of our 343 out injured, then a dodgy red card.

It was desperately unlucky to to blame any one injury is folly.

Well, maybe. ALternately, it turns out that Kral is good enought and we chose to spend the dosh on a good striker, a replacenment for Oggy, and a left back. Or we buy sucha beast of a CB and LB that we can play Fornals in the midefiled two and we look for an additional AM.

Or Kral is the Noble replacement and we get someone else to replace Rice. Or we spread the cash throughout the squad. £80m should get 3 solid players and maybe a wildcard or two.

See this elsewhere:

With all the drama of transfer day, it can be hard to keep track of all the latest figures and deals flying around. One particular exec at a big club was clearly hoping to use this commotion to their advantage, but people have started to notice a curious eight-figure discrepancy bubbling up on the books.

At least three unlikely summer transfers are now under the microscope, including one in which the club ended up paying £20m more for a player than the selling club asked for – and it's not immediately clear where the remaining balance might have ended up.

As there doesn't seem to be a satisfactory answer forthcoming, we're told we can expect a big resignation (or "mutually agreed departure") to take place before too long.

Safe to say we will not be in trouble here, we wont spend £2 over the value of any player.

Just been told that West Ham are talking to Daniel Sturridge about a pay as as you play contract.

That's from a friend of his agent Eddie Pope. No idea if true, but thought you might be interested.

I wouldn’t be too disappointed with that to be honest. Hopefully we won’t even need him to play

That's really not someone I can see Moyes being interested in.

It's a shame really, he was fantastic before the phantom injuries took over his career.

If he could get really fit, why not? Could bang in a couple of goals

Whether it's true or not, I don't believe for a second that Sturridge has the attitude, nor the work ethic to fit into this West Ham side.

Get in the bin.

Sturridge. If its a cheap deal and Moyes is happy with his attitude and mental state then ok.

I don't see him as s realistic starter but maybe a last throw of the dice player

Yeah it is mostly in his head, but in some ways that could help with the right manager and in the right set up.

If anyone can get a tune out of him it is Moyes, but after 18 months out of the game I doubt it will happen.

Couldn't string more than 5 games together without injury whilst in Turkey. With him being out of the game so long and his body being completely unconditioned, how many injuries would he get now? Nasri mk2

He hasn't played a game since February 2020. Completely fell off the rails. Really he had 1 and a half great seasons at Liverpool 7 years ago.

31 goals in 42 games, since then he's made 80 appearances in 7 years and scored 23 goals.
