Re: Fantasy Football
Was in the top 4k overall and then....captained Havertz last weekend and got crushed brutally underfoot in a stampede of everyone who had Salah.
Impressive going for your hand-picked no.9 to score no extra points in a 7-0 drubbing. Me and Ole had the same haunted look on Sunday watching our teams.

Re: Fantasy Football
The Havertz pick is a classic case of a pretty sane pick, not a mistake per se, that turned out badly. For now. I'm keeping him.

Re: Fantasy Football
New season should be up & running any day now.
I expect to be as sh!te as I am every other year.
My strategy of starting the season with three West Ham players & 6 or 7 players from promoted clubs (for the element of surprise ) doesn't seem to work.

Re: Fantasy Football
Picked my team. What do you think?
Pope (NUFC)
Van Djik (LFC) Cucurella (BHA) Cancelo (MCFC) James (CFC)
Son (THFC) Bowen (WHUFC) Zaha (CPFC) Maddison (LCFC)
Jesus (AFC) Awoniyi (NFFC)
Subs
Lloris (THFC) Aguerd (WHUFC) Willock (NUFC) Broja (CFC)
I know there's some serious tacticians on here.

Re: Fantasy Football
Haaland 11.5m & Nunez 9.0m. I'm predicting plenty of people spunking over 20% of their budget on these two.daytimedave wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 8:25 pm ZAha? . grrrrr i wont have him anywhere near my fantasy team

Re: Fantasy Football
Last season's forward options were not great.
My first draft has Darwin, Kane & Haaland up front.
Hammers included are Areola, Zouma & Fornals - all reasonably priced to enable to the front 3. Like others, am sure I'll be changing the line up dozens of times before the new season starts, especially if the threatened next wave of Covid appears....

Re: Fantasy Football
Won't be selecting any West Ham players for GW1 this season, especially with City, Spurs and Chelsea all in our first 6 games.
Bowen is our only real FPL asset imo & he is overpriced at 8.5m. Especially when you can get Mount, Diaz, Foden, Mahrez & Saka all at 8m

Re: Fantasy Football
No Trent, Salah or Haaland. All three will be template and you'll need at least three of them. At the very least you need to be (c) one most weeks otherwise you'll fall seriously behind when they score big. For example Liverpool have Fulham GW1 and a large % will (c) Salah. If he hauls you're already behind the mark. Playing it safe early is key.Shabu wrote: ↑Tue Jul 05, 2022 7:55 pm Picked my team. What do you think?

I know there's some serious tacticians on here.
Don't have two premium GK's.
Nice wing-backs in defence. Maddison ended the season superbly and Bowen and Son will be solid shouts.
Bowen tore it up, £8.5m is a fair price imo.
