Never knew the man, saw his post right after I joined. I trust he, and his, are at peace wherever he is.
This is often such a strange football club to support, especially from afar. And I know Leroy didn't intend it, but: it's threads like this, more than any transfer, result, or other flurry of football business nonsense, that tell me I'm with the right club. The right kind of family.

Hi Kumbers,
I honestly hadn't intended to post again until Joshua Leroy born but I noticed the interest from you guys this morning, as I'm still following all the threads! Josh is a couple of weeks away and as it happens my daughter Becki on her way down from Rugby at this time after another scan. Personally I'm still in there fighting but as anyone who knows about terminal illness knows you can't put a time factor on it. How long is a piece of string says my excellent oncologist. I will be back when the little Hammer is born and after that my wonderful wife of nearly 40 years has moderator Nick Fs email address for the update which will matter. For now Kumbers , like me, keep worrying about when we eventually get some back up in for Antonio. My wife says dying of cancer and all you do is moan about Antonio's hamstring! (the exclamation mark again, as someone noticed how much I use them). Cheers for now lads, COYI.

Thanks for the update Leroy, says an awful lot about you, what with everything going on, that you'd take the time to do that.
All the very best, matey.

Leroy, I'm not sure how I missed this thread until today. I read the opening post from you, saw it was from May and then thought the worst when I realised people were commenting on it again. Really happy to see your latest posts and you seem to be in good spirits, all things considered. Looking forward to hearing updates from when your little grandson is born. Keep fighting mate!

You're a legend Leroy. Love your attitude and your update made me smile (and, if I'm honest, tear up a teeny bit).
All the best and look forward to hearing more from you.
