She's 25, she's the current World number one ranked player and has been for almost three years, she's the former French Open champion, she's the reigning Wimbledon champion and she won the Australian Open only a couple of months ago.

Funnily enough I was talking to my 15 year old the other day about the sacrifice needed to be an elite sports star, the cycle of training, food you can't eat, living with pain, endless travel, missing out on other parts of life, and Barty seems to be someone who has decided shes reached her goals and had enough.

Fair play, she can say shes been the best, she's earned plenty, good luck to her.

Andy Murray is remarkable. Without doubt he was already one of Britain's greatest sports stars, but he still continues to prove his skill and determination even after the hip replacement.

Just beaten The World number 16 at the Madrid open and set up a quarter final against his old mate Novak.

"He's the world number one and I've got a metal hip," world number 78 Murray told Amazon Prime. "I didn't know I'd get opportunities to play matches like this again. In theory I shouldn't have a chance in the match.

Surely he can't?

Anyone else think that Iga Swiatek (#1 seed in the women’s singles at the French Open) looks like Mark Noble’s love child?

Depends if they can wheel out stronger and stronger (performance enhancing) drugs to hold him together. He is a walking chemical experiment.

No.

He'll need to take more and more anti-inflammatory. Something he has said he will not continue with.

That was a thoroughly entertaining game.

It's going to be some match that tops that this year.

I tell you who's not at Wimbledon anymore and that's that old Wild Bill Hickock bloke you used to see sitting on the end of the players families up in the stands. I suppose he's no longer with us

Has Raducanu forgotten how to play?

She doesnt seem to be going deep into tournaments let alone winning them.

A case of too much too soon I feel. To win a US open was great. but the OTT reaction from pundits and sponsors may just lead to a one hit wonder.

Plus sacking coaches who have taken you forward didn't seem a good plan either.

May end up being the Sandy Lyle of tennis.

She has had a few few injuries since she won the US Grand Slam. She's still young, so plenty of time to get back to a higher level, and if not, how many other British players can say they've won a major tournament? Not many.

I’d like to see Nick Kyrgios win it purely to see all the upper crust stuffed shirts choking on their pink gins!

The press and media bigging up our tennis players. Whilst I understand it, Heather Watson is still not a particularly good player and is yet to play anyone any good and the moment she does, she will crash out, just as Katie Boulter, who they were giving the Billy Big b*llocks too, did today yo the Chinese/ French girl who defeated Serena Williams

Harmony Tan has been incredible to watch. The Serena match was stunning. I was lucky enough to see her live on Thursday on Court 17 against the Spanish seed and Boulter couldn’t land a glove on her today.

Potentially playing Coco Gauff in the Fourth Round. Looks like she could beat anyone at present.

He is hugely talented. If he actually thought to himself, you know what, I’ll knuckle down and really try and win a slam instead of playing up to the badass image he could win several majors.
