Re: The weather
I was wondering when this would start to come into force.....hardly had any rain for months apart from a few hours after the 40c debacle. Coming to a county near you...

As there are only two of us live in our house, I can off set showering with jet washing the car and filling up a bucket, right?

Re: The weather
40°C again here. I'm sick of it. It has been over 33 for the last 6 weeks, most of the time between 35 and 40; It is relentless and is grinding me down.
It is now 33° inside my flat. I can feel the heat radiating from the floor, the windows, the walls. Working from home and having 2 laptops and 2 screens running does not help.
Storms forecast for this weekend/early next week

South East in England warned to not expect anything substantial rain-wise until October.

Re: The weather
These 'ill be useless storms: 20 minute downpours which wil just run off into the sewers: the ground is so rock hard that it would take a good hour for any water to sink in even little bit. The flash-floods should be fun though

Re: The weather
Went for a walk at 730 this morning it was already 25 degrees and I am in the barron Norf, you guys must be cooking down there. Went gym this afterwards and the usually strict 'lane only' swimming pool was full of people just lazing in it, no one swimming and no one caring, I didn't want to get out.

Re: The weather
I have a photoshoot tomorrow. I've tried and tried to convince the woman I'm shooting, to get up early, so we can do the shoot at around 0900 when it's still relatively cool.
Nope, she wants to do it at midday, as she has to get ready.
I did try to point out to her politely that she may not be looking at her best in 33c heat and makeup, but she'd determined to do it at the time she wants.
Tempted to f*** it off, but I can't as there will be more work coming from it.

She'll end up looking like Robert Smith from the Cure after 5 minutes.

Re: The weather
I'm hoping so... so that she'll have to rebook me and do it again.
EDIT: Managed to convince her to do it on Thursday when the weather is forecast to be 23 and overcast. Perfect conditions.

Re: The weather
Opened the batting in this yesterday at 1pm, somehow managed to play the best I have all season.
After about 8 overs so much sweat was pouring into my eyes I needed windscreen wipers. I literally played a few shots with one eye, as the other was full of liquid and blurred. How batsmen play in places like India I have no idea.
To counter that I fielded terribly, I was so cooked, my brain and body felt utterly disconnected.
Don't think I've ever drank so much water in 5 hours, and i was still constantly thirsty.
