The heaven's have opened and it is like an absolute monsoon outside. And it's been like it for 2 hours - naybe even longer. Coolded down considerably too. The only prob is that I've left the greenhosue dooor and windows ajar and two japanese bushes that I put out of the GH because it was too hot, are now getting a thorough drenching.

As someone once said to me, 'you're not made of sugar', go out and close the windows/doors. :winker:

London is supposed to be getting rain until just past noon today, followed by 2-3 days of an August weekend sunshine.

The gardens will all grow an inch!

Going to be hot here all next week.

Up to 42C here in San Diego & 46C or hotter a bit further east inland.

My house doesn't have air conditioning so it'll be melty at home. Luckily the gym and work does so I'll spend all day in those two places.

Spectacular thunderstorm last night. Got awoken at about 01.30 by a massive clap of thunder which felt like it was in the bedroom. Sat up watching it come over from the coast. More to come tonight apparently.

Southern Californians are melting.

They're upset. This is NOT why people pay among the highest rents in the country.

It's supposed to be warm and sunny for 9 months of the year. Not excessively hot and humid. That's weather for those heathens in Florida.

Everyone is upset.

On the plus side our sales of alcoholic seltzer has gone through the roof.

3rd day running 35C+ here. A short jaunt across the bridge, about 10 miles from where I am, and it's 44C. Screw this. Where's my fog.

Same down this way.

It's going to break this weekend though so we'll be hit with the remnants of Hurricane Kay.

Yes, a f*cking hurricane that's barreling its way up and off the coast will be bringing heavy winds and rain to the area this weekend.

Hopefully it dies down by the time we fly on holiday in Sunday afternoon

Took the car for a wash then within a minute it started raining.

And it's lovely cold rain too.

The heatwave is over :smiler:
