Feels cooler than yesterday to me.

There was no discernible breeze yesterday, no respite at all.

Reminds me of last time I was in Saudi. The AC only worked on one side of our teaching building, whilst an un-used building was like a refrigerator.
The fans did an adequate job I suppose. It's where I learned to keep the curtains and windows shut.
Problem with fans is you have to anchor everything down

This really feels like 'the end of days' weather... Scorching hot sun and vicious winds together. Can't recall anything as prolonged as this (in terms of the gusty winds) prior to this year.

39.7 now...

Don't understand the fuss tbh. People pay to go abroad and sit in this heat for two weeks every year.

I've been working outside the last two days...a sun hat, plenty of sunscreen and water and I've loved it!

Temperatures should drop into the 20's from tomorrow, and remain there pretty much until September.

We'd moan if it was raining!!!

Just seen Wennington in East London with multiple buildings on fire. Something I never imagined I would see here. So awful for people.

Dagenham too. Pretty Harrowing tbh. We've a massive, dry field outside the back of our house, and after seeing the live pictures on Sky news, I ain't gonna lie, I'm feeling on edge.

Also interesting how the media has shifted their stories. Yesterday it was supposed to be the worse day with 40 degree temps but it foiled them, so they shifted to "wales breaks temperature record" because meteorology follows the man made concept of borders. And now we broke the overnight temperature record, that little known record that everyone in years to come will talk about.

Talk about shift the news to meet the narrative.
Or change the narrative to tell the truth?
