My brother lives in Burlington Vermont. It's -11*F (-23.88 C) there right now, -50*F (-45.55) with wind chill. Next state over, in New Hampshire on Mt. Washington (6200' elevation) it is -41*F(-40.55C) and -100F (-73.33C)with wind chill. No thanks.

Christ, and there's me wishing Spring would spring into action in mild Devon during the early days of February.
No wonder the trees in that part of the world look so beautiful in Autumn (fall), they're crying out for help. Or just bloody cold.

No idea. I'm near downtown. They're talking about the hilly extremes.

It's bloody cold though. I might have to wear a long sleeve top to work.

We had hailstones last night!

Madness.

I have no idea what the inland hilly areas are like.

I miss sunshine. It's been weeks, nay, months.

Drivers are bad enough in Cali when it rains. This must be causing mayhem.

Now, driving through fire? Easy peasy.

I would love to see it tbf. Must be quite a sight when you get a decent showing. :newthumb:

Can't imagine what our ancestors thought was causing it.

I've just read and for any of you who have never seen The Northern Lights, conditions are favourable tonight, for even those of us who live in the South of England for us to witness this spectacle. I have never seen them, but will certainly keep a watch out

Yosemite National Park is indefinitely closed due to the highest snowfall since the 60s.

I've been there in the snow & it's lovely (it's breathtakingly lovely any time of year) but I can't imagine how lovely it is under almost 4 metres of snow.
