Anything goes in The Snug, General Discussion's rebellious little brother. An off-topic den of iniquity where any subject not covered elsewhere may be discussed. Well, anything except golf, Star Wars and Arsenal.
It's my daughter's 5th birthday party on Sunday so had to do the quarterly cutting of the grass.
I left it and left it so today was the last chance I had.
Fortunately, it's all done and looking good, I didn't die of heatstroke and I managed to do both the front and back gardens, weeding and had a shower all on work's time!

Just measured the temperature of some stuff in the garden. Box of metal screws was over 70C.
Glad I'm not the only one who uses centigrade to measure the weather. People look at me like I'm some kind of freak when I refer to the weather in this measurement yet will think nothing of quoting their height and weight in imperial measurements. The utter ****ing twats.

40°C here in horribly sunny Toulouse.
It is very unpleasant. Working from home and i't is 33°C in my flat.
Edit: real feel = 45.6°C, according to the weather station half a mile from my gaff.
After experiencing a French summer 15 years ago, I don't think people really understand how ****ing hot it gets in central and southern France during the summer months. The last time I was there, people were dying because of the heat.

For weather, I use °F in summer & °C in winter. I imagine many of us do; it just makes more sense, although I'm not averse to using °C in summer as well.

It's days like these when I glad we now have an official work from home policy - I can wear something smart on top for any Teams video calls, but it's shorts and flip flops down below
