The med doesn't normally get this hot, besides when you are by the coast there is often a bit of a cooling breeze and you can always throw yourself in the sea if you get baked.
The two are incomparable.

I'm fine. Barely even broke into a sweat.

The trick is... don't move.

Homes designed to release heat, most with air conditioning. People booking holidays = 2 weeks of sitting by/being in a pool getting on it, wearing shorts etc and not having to work

Incomparable to working here etc.

Feel though for all the locals out in Spain etc who do have to work in this weather EVERY summer

To put things into perspective, the sort of heat we had today, is what you would expect in Saudi Arabia

Rained for about 10 minutes tonight, but it has had a clearing effect on the basic atmosphere. Finally, at 2200, a breeze of some sort!

All rather surreal watching the national news showing my old home of Kent with Dartford Heath ablaze alongside the A2.
Relatively mild up here on the East coast of Scotland at 30 degrees but still bloody hot. Billy Connolly used to say there were only two seasons in Scotland, Winter and August. Global warming has put that to bed.

Truthful media is an oxymoron, although I bet news desks across the land are having to be mopped up due to the massive amounts of spunk let off by hacks.

Lets face it, its two days of high temperatures and then back to normal. It even started raining at 9pm here. How very British.

On the basis that the Saudi has a temperature range of between 25 and 45, you could argue that you could expect last weeks temperatures in Saudi too.
