Re: Goal of the tournament
Guess these awards tend to go to moments of individual brilliance, but I’m of the thinking that well-worked team goals are a better indicator of superiority.

Re: Goal of the tournament
Which is why that De Bruyne Belgium goal was the best. Brilliantly worked team goal and multiple instances of individual brilliance, including the first time finish.DasNutNock2 wrote: ↑Mon Jul 05, 2021 9:45 am Guess these awards tend to go to moments of individual brilliance, but I’m of the thinking that well-worked team goals are a better indicator of superiority.

Re: Goal of the tournament
Mikkel Damsgaard’s long range dipper from well outside the area for Denmark v Russia.
Modric v Scotland was an audacious piece of skill.
Luke Shaw’s volley in the final, considering the ground he made up to get there after starting the move deep in his own half.
Paul Pogba’s control and then whipping a 25-yard curler in v Switzerland, shame it counted for nought in the tie.
But I'd give it to Lorenzo Insigne's speedy, swerving run and blistering, curling finish v the world No.1's, Belgium. Perhaps the moment the tournament was decided, an incredible goal.
