The Dane edges it; I had no real care about who won that match but still jumped up and roared in celebration.

The last minute Swiss equaliser against France.

Slide rule pass, cut inside, great finish.

Pogba for me. Schtick's is impressive, but ultimately it's an open goal and a keeper error. Christensen's is more of a thumper. I did think Benzema's from the Swiss game, but having watched it again, I don't think he actually meant that skill, he was just trying to get something on the ball with his first touch- still quality though.

Rice’s 40 yard screamer that he pulls off tonight will do it. :hamm:

Schick's goal v Scotland easy, draw an imaginary box between the goalie's reach, the crossbar and the width of the goal. Dropping the ball into that precise area from 50 odd yards or whatever away with that much curl and power, insane

This. And doing all that when under pressure (ie not with the sort of time when Beckham scored his brilliant long range effort)... Clearly the goal of the tournament for me, some of the others mentioned here are very good and show some great skill, but goals of that type are definitely more often seen at the top level than what Schick did, and the skill there was incredible as well. Clear winner for me.

I’m surprised how little attention that goal is getting. Guess the Ukraine defence wasn’t the best, but it was a superb goal, had everything - pace, passing, vision, teamwork and a brilliant finish. I thought Kane would try to get in front of the two centre halves, but the delivery behind them, and his ability to step back to meet the ball to head it, was absolutely brilliant.
