Re: The next gig you're going to
Last 2 nights went out
Friday to see Ginger Wildheart & the Sinners at the 229 club. Last night to see Orange Goblin at the Underworld. Both fantastic gigs. But crowds were way down on what were largely sold out shows. Covid and it’s associated fears taking hold. I went because I don’t think we’ll be able to see live music for a good few months

Re: The next gig you're going to
We took my mum to see a Buddy Holly tribute last night, the band were pretty good and a really fun evening.
Embarrassingly my next "gig" is taking my wife to a Buble/Sinatra tribute act - I love some of Sinatra's stuff so I hope the tribute act is ok.
Next "real" gig is probably Saxon, for a show that we were meant to see October 2019!

The Spitfires fairwell bash,
The Electric ballroom,
Camden Town
Saturday February 22nd.
Sadly the end of the road for the brightest young band i have seen in 30 years.
Doubt it will be the end totally, Billy is too talented for that.
But in this guise, they will be no more.

Re: The next gig you're going to
For me, it's supposed to be Rich Hall in March, but according to the venue the gig is on, according to all the sites listing his gigs, he's not playing that night, so it's a bit of a Schrodinger's Gig situation at the moment.
Re: The next gig you're going to
The Residents - postphoned. Godspeed you Black Emperor - Postphoned. Low - still on so far but there's plenty of time. Got tickets to see 3 Pavement gigs at the end of the year (hopefully).

Re: The next gig you're going to
I saw Saxon on Saturday with my son, absolutely brilliant - especially when you consider how old Biff (the lead singer) is. Had the crowd in the palm of their hands for two hours. The only problem is that the first band (Diamond Head) were on at 6pm and Saxon finished just before 11, bloody long time for people my age to stand. I was talking to one guy whom reckoned he needed a piss every 30 minutes and a sit down every hour, we agreed that it was a lot easier in our twenties.
Going to see the Blues Band soon, on their farewell tour - would be alright but I have the album from their first farewell tour - which was recorded in 1983.

Re: The next gig you're going to
Last night was first gig in over 2 years and was a great night out. Texas at Caird Hall in Dundee on their Southside 30th Anniversary tour.
They came on stage at 8 and played their debut album Southside in its entirety, took a break and then came back for a crowd pleasing greatest hits set that took us through to 11 with hit after hit after hit. Fantastic
