I had tickets when they played Brighton, but Covid got in the way. Sounds like we have the same gig list.

Yes … impeccable taste of course!Monkeybubbles wrote: ↑Sun Mar 06, 2022 3:20 pm I had tickets when they played Brighton, but Covid got in the way. Sounds like we have the same gig list.
The Lounge Society were better than Dry Cleaning, but I really enjoyed the support act, Shtepi - a range of tunes including LCD Soundsystem and The Fall covers, and with a theremin and trimphone amongst their instruments they couldn’t go wrong. The slight blemish was that the singer sang into the earpiece of the phone - kids today, huh?!

Went Tuesday night. Brilliant night.Chicken Run Supreme wrote: ↑Tue Feb 22, 2022 7:43 am ^^^^ First gig I ever went to was OMD many many moons ago.
They are great live and like many bands of their vintage, it’s always the old ones that get the crowd on their feet like Messages, Electricity, Enola Gay, Joan of Arc et al. Also seen them do a version of Kraftwerk’s Neon Lights
I’m sure you’ll have a great night.

Re: The next gig you're going to
Just realised that I have tickets for gigs that clash with both legs of the semi-final. The first one is taking my daughter to the Roundhouse to see her idol, Mitski, and the second one is to see my idol, Kristin Hersh, albeit for about the 25th time. Nightmare.

Re: The next gig you're going to
And as it turned out, Rich Hall, at the rocktastic Harrow Arts Centre on Saturday, was absolutely brilliant, even though he was really struggling with his voice through a lot of it. Anyone who can extemporise songs based on some decidedly unhelpful audience member responses is pretty damn impressiveKludgehammer wrote: ↑Wed Jan 12, 2022 1:24 pm For me, it's supposed to be Rich Hall in March, but according to the venue the gig is on, according to all the sites listing his gigs, he's not playing that night, so it's a bit of a Schrodinger's Gig situation at the moment.
Wasn't someone on here part of his backing band at one time? EDIT: Just remembered it was Myron T Buttram. Whatever happened to....?

We're going to Oxford, I think I've seen them a dozen times now, really looking forward to a Motorhead setlist.Kludgehammer wrote: ↑Thu Mar 17, 2022 2:27 pm Just booked to see Phil Campbell & the b*stard Sons play Motorhead in May
