Thank god I saw this. Had no idea they were on tour again and one of my favourite ever bands. Saw them at the Garage in Islington in like 2006 or something. On the same night as the Shonen Knife gig I'd already booked, which is a bit of a pisser, but can't say no to Babymetal!
The next gig you're going to

Went to the O2 last night with the wife to watch Florence + the Machine. She is pretty much faultless and at times, entirely mesmerising. Of course she is bonkers but that's what makes it fun.
Also went to Gaucho, which cost £190 (and that's w/o alcohol!).

you lucky lad !! (well I shouldn't say lucky as you paid for the tickets of course..)
she's put out some really cracking choons, but, and I'm not really sure why, but St. Jude both the song and video stands out to me as a really standout song...........heard the song first, then the video and it absolutely floored me. of course her videos are not the usual run of the mill stuff with that album..

She cut it on the steps on Friday and there was a bit of blood. She went off twice to get treatment but continued running around after. I guess the adrenaline and painkillers had kicked in.vietnammer wrote: ↑Sun Nov 20, 2022 10:45 pm Re. Florence. Tour cancelled after she's broken her foot onstage.

My Christmas present from my partner is tickets for us to see the James “Lasted” tour.
I cannot wait!
One of my favourite bands, loved them since the 90’s.
They’re touring with a 22 piece orchestra and a 9 member gospel choir. We’re 7 rows back!

Stereolab tonight at Concorde 2.
Feeling a bit knackered at the moment, and got to be up at 5 tomorrow, but I'll probably enjoy it once I'm there.

That's a great venue. I saw Kvelertak there about five years ago and they were spot on.Big George wrote: ↑Mon Nov 21, 2022 1:51 pm "Benefits". Oslo Hackney on weds. Accidentally bought two tickets if anyone wants the other

Just booked tix to see Cloudbusting - a Kate Bush tribute act. I used to go to school with ‘Kate’ who also lived a few doors away.

My missus' sister bashed her up in a pub in Maidstone in the 70s after she was getting a bit too friendly with her fella.pablo jaye wrote: ↑Wed Nov 30, 2022 10:20 pm I used to go to school with ‘Kate’ who also lived a few doors away.

The Prisoners "reunion" gigs tonight and tomorrow in Rochester, should be great fun.
For anyone familiar with the Medway music scene, these will be amongst the final gigs at the Royal Function Rooms as it is closing, along with the Billabong club downstairs and Ranscombe studios.
There's an event scheduled for mid-January with the aim of raising some funds for the studios to find a new home which looks like having a cracking lineup

Saw the Blossoms last night in Brixton. They brought out Mel C who did Spice up your Life and Rick Astley to do This Charming Man from the Smiths. And then…Miles Kane comes out for the last song.
Didn’t know I needed that in my life but I certainly do now!

Hairspray and eyeliner at the ready for The Cure at Wembley Arena, Saturday night.
Been salivating at the recent setlists on setlist fm, a really nice balance of their darker, moodier pieces and their poppier classics with a few newbies for the hell of it. To say I'm excited is an understatement.
