Similar here kludge. Loop were supposed to be playing in 3 weeks' time on a Friday night and have postponed it to a Thursday in May. At least it's still happening, I suppose.

Am on the guestlist for Parkway Drive this Friday at Ally Pally. Not really familiar with their songs so I'm tryna catch up on my Amazon Music playlist. Friend who I've invited along is a huge fan however.

Re: The next gig you're going to
Went to Roger Waters Saturday night. Didn't know I was going until late afternoon. Surprise anniversary gift from wifey. As per usual he was a mixed bag. The musicians are great but the paint by numbers renditions of the songs left me unsatisfied. A little Roger being Roger in between songs is fine, but a lot of Roger being Roger in between songs is tedium in the extreme. And I don’t generally give a rat’s ass about the Waters v Gilmour nonsense, but I did find the erasing of Gilmour from any of the show media and discussions petty and churlish. Ffs, grow up man.
On the way home, driving through the Mission, a neighborhood that's going through a rough patch, life imitated art. An absolutely bat **** crazy tweaking street dweller, frantically pacing the sidewalk back and forth, ripping at his hair was screaming at the top of his lungs, “HEY YOU OUT THERE BEYOND THE WALL BREAKING BOTTLES IN THE HALL CAN YOU HELP ME ?!“ over and over again.

Re: The next gig you're going to
replacing Ministry in my list of gigs for the rest of the year: Rabbit Rabbit (Chas &Dave cover band - missus' choice) and Bootleg Shadows (for the benefit of my mother). Not really a fair swap IMHO, but such is life

Re: The next gig you're going to
Supposed to be seeing Andrew Cushin on the 7th October, but not the best idea given my fractured skull so will probably give it a miss, and then have to decide between Kasabian or SPangled on the 29th October as i bought tickets for both not realising it was the same night - i will probably choose Spangled which means I will have two Kasabian tickets to sell

Really enjoyed her Glasto set in the summer, an excellent artist who I’d not really listened to before.
Brix Smith on Tuesday now postponed to next year … a shame as was looking forward to seeing her indie supergroup with My Bloody Valentine’s bass and drummer as part of her touring band.

Re: The next gig you're going to
Just booked to see Babymetal, supporting Sabaton next April. On the same night as the Shonen Knife gig I'd already booked, which is a bit of a pisser, but can't say no to Babymetal!
