I'm going to see Idles tonight on The Downs in Bristol, supported by Anna Meredith, Working Men's Club and others. It's my first gig since July 2019 and I'm pretty excited.

Saw Nick Cave and Warren Ellis at Aylesbury last night. Went for the smallest venue I could get.
Saw him first 38 years ago and would never believe that he would turn out to be my Sinatra.

I went to Anjunadeep at the Drumsheds last night. Cracking live music venue. Acres of space. Could easily fit a football ground in the area. Bit too North London for my liking tho.

Idles were excellent, they have so much energy they made a big field of people very happy. I would have liked to see one of their warm up gigs at the Louisiana, I bet they were banging.Doc H Ball wrote: ↑Mon Sep 06, 2021 8:40 pm How were they? I’ve seen them do electric gigs in small venues.
To be honest I'd had a few beers and I was so excited to be at a gig I spent most of the time running around like a kid.

I also saw Nick Cave this week, in Bradford, oddly. It was brilliant, but a bit more than just a concert really, more of a communal catharsis.

Meant to be going to the Roundhouse for the Specials this coming Friday, but we are heading off on holiday now that day.
So if anyone wants a couple of tickets for it give me a shout - the Roundhouse send them digitally during the week so easy to get them to anyone

Cheers Billy but going already. One of my favourite ever bands at my favourite London venue. Can’t wait. After that next up are The Skids in Islington around the second weekend of October.
