Thinking of going out to see some indie bands at the Hope & Ruin in Brighton tonight. There are about 6 bands playing and Ducks Ltd are on at half 9 and I really like them.

Went to see Phil Campbell & the b*stard Sons last night, and they were... alright I guess. I thought the first support act (Dead Man's Whisky) were terrible until the 2nd support (Leader of Down) came on, then I realised they were merely bad as LoD were truly truly terrible - they honestly looked and sounded like some TV parody of a rock band.

I'm going to see them in Brighton in July.

The Fallen Leaves are playing with them at the 100. Sounds like a great night.

It will be, they never disappoint :newthumb:

As I am from Medway originally a lot of their songs resonate with me what with their local references.

Where are they playing in Brighton ?

They're at the Albert, which will suit them down to the ground.

I sort of get The Len Price 3 and The Len Bright Combo mixed up in the memory banks sometimes, but they're equally awesome Medway garage stuff, so it's all good.

Blimey, there's a name I haven't heard for a number of years the Len Bright Combo. Kind of spawned out Wreckless Eric, and a bit of the Milkshakes

That Medway garage scene was bloody good back in the 80s

Sure was Billy.
Milkshakes, The Dentists, The Prisoners and The Claim.

Went to see The Claim at 100 Club a few years back as part of a Medway Weekender. I went to school with a few of the lads from The Claim. Good lads and a good band.

I went to the 2nd night (i think) of that weekender - Len Price 3, Graham Day & the Forefathers etc.

The Claim then played there a year or so later as Jim Riley's Blues Foundation too as part of a Blues festival

The Prisoners, who, bizarrely like you with the Claim, I went to school with, are playing a couple of reunion gigs in Rochester in December. They sold out in minutes...

The Killers and Manic Street Preachers next week at Bristol Ashton Gate.

Can’t wait, it’s been booked since 2020!

Parliament/Funkadelic at the Forum this evening. I saw them once before a few years ago and it was brilliantly chaotic; Ten minute songs and 15 musicians on stage at once.

Must be the venue...... saw The Killers at the Emirates last night. Shocking place to hold a music gig.

Brandon and the boys were great as always but there were some absolute whoppers in attendance. I have no idea why they were even there!
