Thank you. I watched MOTD 2 and I don't think either incident was shown yet we have Ashley Williams claiming 'no penalty'

Richie, poor touch outside box, nicked by Bowen, thigh high challenge not given as free kick, could have been yellow

Richie elbows Coufal jumping inside box no foul, no pen, could be yellow.

And yet we have to listen to incessant complaints about unfair refereeing decisions
Wasn't it Richie who also fouled someone badly in the game last season? Have a vague recollection.

All my recollections are vague, I’m still not sure I got yesterday’s one right let alone last season. :crylol: He’s a nasty piece of work though

1st Goal: Cresswell shirking his LB duties leaving Rice 1v1 on Maximum while shadow boxing 10yds off watching rather than doubling up to block the cross smh, it's not Declans responsibility to play left back.

Still can't figure out why he didn't come offer help. ASM was outside the box. Just close him down so Rice doesn't have to mambo with him for 5 minutes until he can find the space to ping in a cross.

Dawson did very poorly on the back end of that, too. Can't let Wilson beat him to the near post when he's got help behind him in the form of Coufal.

The shot he took nearly took a defender's head off!

Back in the day, something like that would have led to an on-pitch tear up !

I just watched the top ten goals on sky from all the opening games.

Antonio's goal isn't among them.

They really hates us don't they

"The biggest issue is losing to ****ing West Ham! We as a club should be smashing these shitty cockney chavs but because of Ashley (another cockney) and Bruce we are expected to be satisfied with this ****. Stop turning up and make real change FFS!"

Sorry...is that West Ham who finished in the top 6 last season? These lot are the Tottenham of the north.

The last minute of this video when the camera follows Moyes & he greets all the players from both teams, some who want to & some who don't reminds me of me at a family bbq when I'm saying hello to a bunch of distant family members who don't speak English or know anyone who speaks English

They stop for a photo with the white man then move on so they can talk to people they want to.

Team spirit is off the charts. Could we sneak a cheeky cup this season?

Just watched the extended highlights of the game as I couldn’t watch it live…. Cheers Shabs! :newthumb:

The first thing that I noticed about us, was how fresh we looked - and hit our stride perfectly. The players have clearly had a good pre-season and visibly enjoyed playing with each other. The link up play going forward looked sharp and we gave a lot of different attacking threats - let’s hope this continues. I also thought Antonio looked fitter and appears to have worked on improving his game over the summer. A shame the highlights didn’t really show how Rice controlled the game in the second half but good to see him chip in trying to keep St-Maxim quiet. Newcastle are really a one show-pony team aren’t they though?

Sorry if already covered earlier in these pages, but when did we last score four on the opening game of the season? I remember watching us do Birmingham 4-0 at the Boleyn back to start 1983/4 season but couldn’t recall one since :eh:

We scored 4 goals and an away win up north on the opening day of the season, and you graciously give Moyes tactics 5/10.

What did he get wrong?

Yeah, I'm struggling with that too.
