I agree with the point that rotation should come into the equation but Moyes doesn't do rotation in the prem. matches.Fab Creswell Coufal Zuma Ogbonna Rice Soucec Bowen Antonio have all started when fit and the c..t who pulls the purse strings won't be interested in paying 25 million for a squad player. It just seemed like a last minute panic buy because Moyse couldn't get who he wanted. The last time he did that was ..can anybody remember who?

Other than Bowen (and his form is making the case for this to be incorrect), we don't have a strong enough option in the squad to allow Moyes to rest any of those for Premier League games. Benrahma, Bowen, Fornals, Vlasic, Lanzini - with a fully fit squad in all other positions we're always going to need to play 3 of those players.

We're playing a minimum of 51 games this season, that's 150 starts to share out for the 3 positions behind and alongside Antonio.

Craig Dawson...

What a terrible signing that has been. He obviously is interested in £25 million for a squad player as he's spent about that on Bowen, Fornals, Benrahma and Vlasic, they can't all start.

But you said the last time, the last time was Craig Dawson.

What you meant was "Moyes has made one signing that didn't work out before!"

None of them 'drop out', exactly - they'll still be involved regularly, some times starting, sometimes from the bench. It's a squad game.

It's been said - and I agree with it - that signing Vlasic for the amount we paid was not especially a priority, and we would have done better to invest that money in someone who can also play up top. But I really don't think he's been bad at all and I think he's improving the more he gets to play.

Just needs to be confident enough to shoot more. Get the feeling he’s still worried about not making a mistake and appearing greedy to the manager and players, so playing within himself a bit.

Ball control, spatial awareness and strength are all really good. He scored some rockets for CSKA so that’s in his locker too. Hopefully he opens up a bit and we start to see some.

Good signs. Coming along well.

Wasn't a panic buy though was it?

We didn't have the money and the money we did have was earmarked for a defender.

Tarkowski didn't work out so we went for the much cheaper Dawson, and sold Diangana, freeing up funds and a squad place so we went for Benrahma.

Obviously Benrahma plays for us and Eze doesn't so no doubt you'll have a problem with Benrahma but think the world of Eze

Historically Moyes hasn't rotated his squad in the premier league whilst he's been our manager, however has he ever really needed to before?

If we are in the quarter finals of the Europa or semi final of the FA Cup then I'd suggest he'll be far more likely to rotate our starting XI for a premier league game compared to when we are in the group stage or 3rd round of the Carabao Cup. The deeper we go into the competitions the more likely the cup becomes a priority over the league.

League games after Europa Rounds
Last 16 first leg, Villa (h)
Last 16 second leg, Tottenham (a)
Quarter final first leg, Brentford (h)
Quarter final second leg, Burnley (a)
Semi final first leg, Arsenal (h)
Semi final second leg, Norwich (a)
Final, Brighton (a)

League games after FA Cup Rounds
Fifth round, Liverpool (a)
Quarter finals, clashes with Tottenham (a)
Semi finals, clashes with Burnley (h)
Final, clashes Man City (a)

You're obviously talking about Jordan Hugill, who was probably more of a Sully special.

True, with the corner.

But he did it otherwise. Crying wolf will lead to the genuine ones being overlooked.

He’s already coming good. He certainly has a much higher ceiling than Lingard and is already showing he is a more clever player than Benny.

Should have had a couple of penalties as well.

Lingard scored 9 goals for us last season. That's a pretty high ceiling.

Vlasic has scored 1 in 19 appearances and can't hold down a regular place. Ceiling breaker.
