Getting this lad signed up permanently needs to be our number one January priority.
Really? A lot of players do need time to settle in but you can usually see beyond that , i don’t think he is the sort of player we need.
We need one or two Lindgard type players , those that can fit straight in , Soucek did. Coufal did to a certain extent Fornals and Bowen did. West ham do not really have the luxury of progressing a player that take half their contract length to come good or not.

they all fitted in as we had stuff all there before they turned up, we need to build strength in depth to be able to rotate and freshen up the squad.

He, and Vlasic, looked ok last night. Both need to play a bit more before they can be judged fairly though.

If we are looking for a busy player with hustle and bustle who keeps it simple we may as well just recall Coventry.

My 2 pennies worth...

Runs about a bit, as others have mentioned, hustles and gets himself in and around the midfield.
To me that's where his ability ends. His range of passing is really poor. I counted numerous times last night (and the few times I have seen him before) where he loses possession, ALOT.

I think we could find better to be honest... I wouldnt want to trust him as a squad player without Rice, Soucek or Nobes...

I just think the lad has it all.

Power, pace, heading ability, passing range, finishing, breaks up play, tracks back.

Against below average opposition last night he ran about a lot but was still unable to make an impression in possession.
Try to send him back this window as he is of no use.
100% there are midfielders in the lower leagues who offer more than this fella.

personally i still haven't made up my mind about him. There must be a reason he is in effect fourth choice after noble.
At the euro's i was totally underwhelmed by him, with us its difficult to say because he has played so few games. I think if he had a run of 2 or 3 matches we'd see him settle but last night i think he worked very hard but his passing wasn't great. But then neither was a lot of other senior players.
I want him to do well and can see potential. But i would sign areola in a heartbeat but be 50/50 about Kral.

As an utility back up player he's grand, young & could get alot better learning from Soucek and Rice... For 11 million & probably about 40k pw in wages we should definitely sign him in the summer...

Think so. I think he came off the bench away at Vienna. I think he's started two only. He had covid for the league cup game v Man City.

Thought exactly the same. His distribution was awful last night but hopefully Moyes can improve that.

cheers bubbs

got to be tough, getting match fit, getting Covid, getting match fit, probably might have come on for a subs appearance in other game(s) but then injuries meant maybe Moyes had to have a rethink.

saw enough in the ManU game to think he might make a contribution. still hope and maybe the FA Cup game might see him get more than a few minutes.

last night seemed that he and Noble played very deep and neither have the pace or ability of a "Rice" to drive the ball on from mid-field. always tough to match up to our pair who I think along with loads of others, are probably the two best (or at least in the same conversation) in the PL

I'm yet to be convinced we should sign him on a permanent.
